In reality, Ed would sink like a rock. It's mentioned in the anime, when Ed says that he can't swim.

I have to know... will Ed ever tell Roy what will happen to him if he doesn't meet the deadline? He needs to. He really does. I think it would be worse if he thought that Ed was still alive on the other side of the Gate.

And will Ed meet the deadline? Will he get to stay where he is? I hope so. I don't want this to end in a tragedy. I want them to be happy. One of your other stories that ended in a tragedy was devastating. I wasn't too happy with the ending, since a true happy ending would end up with Roy becoming immortal so he spent eternity with Ed.

I've been reading your stories since I found them in 2010, they've gotten me through the death of my mother, my husband's work accident ( I reread all of them while we spent a week in the hospital) and the stress and happiness of moving across the country and buying a home. I never review and for that I apologize - it's selfish of me to take and not give back so I'm reviewing my favorite story in hopes you might finish it. I also want you to know how much these stories mean to me - when ever I'm stressed I come back to them and I want to thank you for that!
