I, too, had correspondence sent across the Sundering Sea, some carried by Sam when he went to join Frodo-letters and pictures, and such tales as could be remembered by Sam in the time given him and Frodo. I know indeed how important such things are!

A sad thing, this parting, but at least not as sad as the others Elrond has already known.

Soon enough these will rejoin their parents, and know at least the joy of telling their beloved mother, now healed, of the adventures of her grandchildren!
