This might just be the best GG half-AU ive ever read. I'm half in love with this Chuck! I love how you changed the story, made Bart love Chuck, etc., and I really liked the narrative voice you chose! The Blair one hurt because of canon, but this continuation just swept all the hurt under the rug and gave us the happy ending we deserved! I'm dry crying right now because of how good this is. I liked so many lines and situations in this oneshot I don't know how i'll settle for the shit card we've been dealt by the actual writers of GG.

I'll probably lie down and think about this more than once in the future and cry.

I read this story years ago and loved it and it's still just as fantastic now as it was to a thirteen year old who had no idea what the difference was between a good story and a bad story. It's all so quintessentially Chuck and Blair through and through. I can't get over it. The fact that Chuck's strategy is just to become a better man without any further tricks is kinda out of the blue, but very beautiful. You manage to pull it off. It's so interesting to read a story that is just from Chuck's perspective, since so many are about Blair. And all the stuff with her bulimia is really touching. My favorite part is when Blair says that she's actually been dating him for years because he was the real man behind Nate. Aw, well, I could just gush and coo forever...I'll cut it off now so I can go and read the Blair version of this. :)

When his dad died, I actually cried. God, this is amazing.

I read this over at ragingbutterflies like two years ago, and I think I can say that its my most favorite Chair fic ever, and some of your best work. I desperately wish the writers had taken this route in stead of the crap they are feeding us nowadays :/
