I can totally see this happening to a young and inexperienced Sirius and James - too many people write off James and Sirius as perfect fathers and don't really capture the uncertainty of first-time parenting. I love James' POV here as well! The "exploding" Harry, Sirius and James' panic, and Lily's temper are all perfectly characterized. |
