I like your Torchwood reference in your notice

I seldom find good and elegantly written romance stories. Most of them are either corny or badly written.
Yours is brilliant.
This is like a prequel to the Doctor/River story... Brilliant, simply brilliant.

Brilliant! Very cleverly written and I loved the little references thrown in (VoD for Martha's wedding made me giggle as did the Buffy reference!)

Loved how you incorporated River, an interesting take on her character, and I LOVE that you brought back Tallulah! Thought she was brilliant :)

I finally finished it whew *whips brow* this was awesome, would have liked their wedding to be a bit more but hey ho! I still enjoyed it, I loved the way you wrote the doctor and river! And don't listen to haters you did not cause offense to anyone, I mean come on! How are you supposed to name every religion for god's sake! (Btw I'm from ireland and we say Jesus, Mary and Joseph all the time) xD

Well, I read the previous chapter, and I must say, it would have been a great loss to miss it! I loved it all, but especially Sir Alistair, and what they all did for Donna. That's the best thing I've ever read for her; way better than the canon lottery ticket. :) It's just... it's perfect. Supertemp... :')

Oh, I thought something was weird... I actually read this on Teaspoon cause I only realized later that you have an account on here, and this whole chapter is missing from that site. I thought the big time jump was a bit weird... but yay, now I have an extra chapter to read! I just assumed you didn't want to show the wedding and went with Cassie's POV only. You might want to fix this, though. :)

I love this alternate version of River's story, and as I said in my other review, I don't even understand why people would want you to retcon it.

In fact, it was the show that made a continuity error here later: 'Silence in the Library' strongly implied that River has seen the Tenth Doctor before, otherwise she would have realized immediately that he didn't know her. (Unless she assumed at first that he was a future regeneration, not a past one, but I don't think that's plausible.) Anyway - point is, this was a brilliant story, and in fact I would have loved a sequel that deals with the Specials season's problems, but very differently (most rewrites change almost nothing and that gets boring) ... ah, well. :)

Great grammar, great characters. I connected the most with Cassie, and honestly wish she'd ended up with the Doctor. River was okay, but seemed a bit bland. Your words and style made up for her lack of depth. And yet I didn't feel a connection between she and the Doctor, not nearly as much as between he and Cassie.

Characters aside, you've got a great plot going here! Excellent pacing, couldn't put it down! The villain was believable and the story was timey-wimey enough to be canon.

To sum: your style seems more Moffat than Davies. Know what I mean? Anyway, thank you for the tale, I truly enjoyed it!

Wow! This is excellent. It's beautifully written and quite thoughtful. I think you dovetailed the original characters with the Doctor and River quite nicely. I'm a little less sure about River's characterization, but on the other hand, I've seen the entire sixth season by now. I think I see her as a tad more flirtatious, and I think that there could be a better indication of *why* the Doctor falls so hard for her, but part of the problem with that, of course, is that we're not in the Doctor's head, which I think is a good choice. This is just my attempt at a balanced review-all in all, I think it is a pretty fabulous story! The plot itself was great, and I love Cassie's ending. I also love how the students get to go all Buffy on the main baddy, and you absolutely breathed life into the Doctor's Army. Really, really great job, I hope you keep writing!
