Nice musings about the awkward, bruised feelings that Usopp must have gone through after coming back.

I just finished this arc last night and I was so emotional during that scene. I understood why they couldn't just take Usopp back but it hurt to watch. I was so relieved when they looked ok but wondered if our sniper was still feeling guilty. I know it's been awhile but thanks for sharing!

Yes. This is how it should be.

If I remember correctly, Sanji was also the one to step in during the verbal fight between Luffy and Usopp, and also, when Chopper wanted to give Usopp medical aid, he stopped him specifically because of how it would make Usopp feel. (An interesting contrast to Zoro's attitude.) And then there's Chopper and him running out and happening to let Usopp know about Aqua Laguna. When people say they dislike Sanji because he only cares about the female crew mates I am forced to give them an unimpressed look.

So in conclusion this is a lovely fic :)

This was just the right level of emotions, friendship, and not over-the-top with the angst. And not to mention that the nakamaship between Usopp and Sanji is pretty unique. The charactarization is perfect and I always enjoy your literature style of writing.

Though, eh, I was going to use the somewhat same idea for Usopp and Nami nakamaship xD (with Usopp just reuniting and with the hugging and all) but you beat me to it. Rawr. I hope this means great minds think alike? *shot*

Aside from the obvious friendship between Usopp and Chopper, I figured Usopp and Sanji were pretty close friends, too (I recall a scene in the anime where the two of them are dancing together happily over something), so I liked seeing a piece like this.
