I'm with Sam, ready to smack his selfless brother for trying to spare him and instead worrying him sick! Wonderful, angsty, sad, and heartwarming all at the same time.

Oh gosh. Sam thought Dean was legitimately dying and had left to do it alone. Granted, I didn't think any differently until the end, but man, that was rough on the guy. It might have been nice if Dean had been lucid enough to give him that little detail a bit sooner.

The moment when Dean just sits there repeating "don' leave me" made my heart do several odd contortions in my chest. That was such an evocative image. Dean never lets himself open up to the point where he asks, pleads, begs for his family to not leave him alone even though it's the one thing that he's most scared of. Sam seeing him that raw and uncensored was... whew... yeah.

I really liked this. (: it was a really nice fiction to read and everyone's in character and everything~~~

Stubborn Winchesters! Just really silly to think that his brother wouldn't want to help him! Stupid, stubborn Winchester pride! Sheesh. And just how did he think he'd find Sam again? Huh? Did he think he'd just wait quietly in that room for his stupid, stubborn brother to return? Oy!

Dean survived, Sam laughed, and both Winchester boys settled in for a two days' nap after their emotional and physical trauma. -happy sigh- Sam's little brother frustration was so endearing at the beginning, but the emotion of the story took a grim turn once Sam found Dean on the bathroom floor. I liked that Dean had prepared for the onslaught of sickness, like he knew he had an hour or two before it hit and he had to scrape up his stuff and hit the road. I didn't realize that Sam thought Dean was actually -dying- until the end, but I guess that's because most of the story is written from sick Dean's POV.

As far as best moments go, Dean's chanting wins the prize for most heartbreaking, although Sam crumpling next to Dean's bed to cry was a close second.
