Gorgeous. I like the brotherhood/manga plot a lot better than the first anime plot, but I always preferred mustang killing the rockbells over scar. And you captured all the emotion and angst perfectly.

I remember reading this a long long time ago. I loved it instantly. The last words hit with such a powerful punch that you can feel Winry's raw emotions and the conflict that wars within her fully and painfully. I am glad I am taking the time to re-discover your stories because they are simply brilliant.

Winry's anguish is so painfully clear...You built this up so well - the mood is so tense and nerve-wracking and it got me so anxious and then everything just shatters with "I don't care." The flow of this is perfect and I loved it.

i love the fierceness of the lieutenant. and its an interesting dilemma for winry, thinking the colonel killed her parents-and how she'd react to ed's killing. for someone who's constantly angry and swearing, the screenwriters for FMA made him out to be very moral

That was just fantastic! As I often do I was thinking about Ruby Throat and I wondered if you had written anything else I might have missed. Bingo, missed this one. :)

Although I will always be bothered by the decision that Roy would be her parents killer in the anime I still embrace fan fic that does this situation true justice. This is truly the way it feels to me and I loved every minute of your take on the situation.

All the same, I am ever so grateful that the whole situation its self is more like fan fic (after all, if it didn't happen in the manga it didn't happen, ne?).

I look forward to reading more Ruby Throat some day. I know all too well about what you mean about finding time to write. my own fics have long since taken a back seat to life in general. All the same, once in a while I find a little time to read. And over the past couple of years I have read what has been posted of Ruby Throat several times. Its just that good! :)
