Oh this is so sad but cute and ahhhhhh I I’ve this!

I’ve always felt kinda bad for Slughorn. I mean, just imagine the daily toil, pain, regret and grief he lives through. Every. Single. Day.
Most of all, what if every (supposedly mean or whatever) action he did was just because he felt that just because he was a Slytherin, he HAD to live up to that stereotype. He’s always reminded me of the old man in that short film who as the flood level goes higher, he has to keep adding levels on top of his house, just to live.
And trust me, I know and can imagine the constant torrent of guilt, shame, fear, despair and hurt he hides away from everyone, deep down in his soul, so hidden away that even he can’t reach it to bring it out anymore, to let it fly away, like a dove. Instead, it’s stuck inside of him, torturing him day after day, year after year, just refusing to let up.

The first two chapters were good, but I must say Slughorn's chapter was just... amazing. He was never one of my favorite characters, but the way you portrayed him really made me see him in a different light.

I love Slughorn too! The only thing I love better than Sluggy is this story! Please continue - maybe McGonnagal's POV next?

Every time I read this, the chapter about Horace Slughorn gives me goosebumps. Thank you for recognizing that everything is not black and white in war.

This is incredible. Its amazing. Its wonderful. Its more positive adjectives that I cant think of just now.
I really liked the first two chapters, they were very interesting/awesome.
Slughorn's chapter however was one of the best things I have read. It was incredible. I was never very keen on Slughorn, but the way you wrote him made him look like the greatest man alive. The regret, blame and grief he put up with is just indescribable.

Please continue this story... I would love to read the next chapters for each character, as well as the one from McGonagall's point of view.

totally agree with your last line! I never knew he could have gone through so much.. Gosh, this one actually brought me to tears! I loved how you made him walk Lily down the aisle and how he didn't want to stop James and Lily playing with their newborn. Also really liked how you said that he joined back to Hogwarts because he could see Lily's eyes and the whole severus part! Great job!
