I think my review yesterday got deleted Id write a longer review but I don't have a lotta time. This is my favorite fanfic and has been for the last 6 years when I started reading it when I was 14 years old. It doesn't matter how long you take to update because I'll always read it and look forward to it.

Your writing amazes me everytime

I still love this story, it is still my favorite. I've been following it for yeaaars and it really doesn't matter how long you take to upload because I'll always keep reading. I saw the update literally moments after you posted it, I would have reviewed sooner but I'm doing training stuff rn.

I'm literally always amazed with how you write interactions because I relate soooo hard and it feels exactly how I've felt in similar situations, same words same feelings. You are just a masterful fucking writer and that's why I will never tire waiting for a chapter. Its been around 5-6 years since I started reading this and it just feels like a small part of my life 3

Omg Lucien is completely unhinged! I mean, I knew that but like...going, going, gone!

Backing up now, I really enjoyed the Count and Abigale getting reacquainted and trying to get a feel for each other again and their kiss was really sweet in its desperation. I also like the part where they were discussing the visit from the brotherhood because this is the first time I think I've seen them have a conversation where they felt equal. She has enough experience and knowledge to have a solid perspective on what could happen, no doubt the Count expects some treachery as well. Maybe that's why he doesn't want any rats running around in the walls distracting him from listening for a Sneaky Speaker. Abigale is getting better about speaking up but she still has a ways to go! All these little things she's enduring for the sake of not offending the Count are going to build up over time. But I can understand why she's afraid to do so, of course!

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Rona, as well! And I can't help but have a rather tragic feeling about Nerah...

Loved the chapter! So glad you're back! This strange balance between Lucien and Vicente is really good. If I were Vicente... Mmm I'd be very careful the next while. Even with the Count, our vampire assassin should watch out. So, so glad Abby is back with Hal-Liurz! She needs such a friend right now. Feels like the calm before quite a storm for everyone!

I started reading this awhile ago, but I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed. I love your characters and that you’ve gone with a non-HOK main character and that you showcase Hassildore as well (he’s a favorite character of mine, but there just don’t seem to be many stories with him).

I looooooooove the tension between Janus and Abigale as they both try to apologize and the way they are mutually putting one another up on a pedestal as if only they are the ones who ever did any wrong to the other. The love and the want and hurt, the desire to just put all the bad things behind and find that sweetness that they know could be there.

But of course, there lurks the secret of her pregnancy and dealing with Lucien...I wonder how the Count will feel about his current mercy once he sees all and perhaps sees face to face the other man who gave his Abigale pleasure. And how will Abigale's ability to overlook and wash from her mind all the horrible things Janus has done to her, and is still capable of, change if he relapses into his more feral, possessive state? I mean, we've just seen Vicente, of all people, lose his cool over Abigale's pregnancy so I'd say that doesn't bode well for the more temperamental Count of Skingrad!

OMG. The change in Lucien was very sudden and unexpected. Can't wait for the next chapter. Greatly anticipating the count's reaction to her pregnancy.

Everyone is commenting things like "Abigail deserves to be with Janus" but honestly, fuck Janus. Whether he meant well or not, he was manipulative and abusive. I've been in a relationship like that. It is absolutely horrible and you keep going back to the same person because you are so mentally screwed over and emotionally attached to someone that just ends up hurting you. That kind of relationship is not what true love is. It is abuse. Period. Unless the cure fixes Janus completely, neither Janus nor Lucien deserve her. She's better off elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I love this story and I relate to Abigail sooo much, but I fucking hate Janus (Only in this fanfic) because he reminds me of the person whom I once thought I was in love with...Ever heard of traumatic bonding? This is a perfect example of that. It's terrible to be a victim in a situation like this and I really hope that other readers understand that...

YAY! They have been reunited I'm so happy I have been waiting for this. Abigail Lynn deserves to be with her love. And Lucian can kiss my .. well you get the picture lol. I hope hope Abigail puts the smack down on him using her natural talents(her magical inclination) :D
