MuggleCreator chapter 1 . 2/16/2014
Brilliant. The intensity and desperation and power ripples through the piece.
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 2/16/2010
A great story. Very well written.
truffles-koboi chapter 1 . 9/6/2009
One thing about the Lord of the Rings is that not only does it capture the horror of battle, it also captures the art, the grace of battle. Not, obviously, in a good way, though not in a bad way also. The battles that Tolkien wrote with his pen to paper reflect not only the violence, but the sorrow, and the horrible grace of fighting.

In other writers works, you may find the horrible violence, or perhaps just clear descriptions of the battle, pure fact minus the emotion. You meshed together all of this, and added the fear. I felt like I was really there.

The ending was amazing. Need I say more?

andaere chapter 1 . 9/1/2009
Wow, this is a very powerful oneshot. I really like Eowyn because she's rebellious. Go feminists! Anyways, great portrayal of this scene. :)
Deandra chapter 1 . 7/13/2009
Very powerful representation of this scene, giving us a glimpse into Eowyn's thoughts. I'm glad Wendwriter led me to you. I shall have to take a look at your other stories.

Epilachna chapter 1 . 10/20/2008
I have to give this piece a standing ovation. I'm not a big Eowyn fanatic, but this is really superb. I was with her for every moment. It's nice to know that there are young writers around here who can do LOTR justice.
AC2 chapter 1 . 10/17/2008
Excellent work, StarSpray! Excellent battle scene, brilliant characterization, and you've really got the feel of Tolkien in this story. You should be as proud of this as I am of you. :D

Added to my favourite stories.
MerrytheHobbit chapter 1 . 10/13/2008
Very good. I like it. Well done.
Calenlass Greenleaf chapter 1 . 10/13/2008
I'm impressed. This sounds very much like Éowyn.
