Thank you;)
Sharlot chapter 12 . 9/29/2012
It always makes me giddy whenever I come across a hidden gem of a fanfic. Thank you for this. Thanks for all the hard work that went into it. I found the story utterly gripping, even disturbing at times, but always compelling. I fear I devoured it far too quickly! You broke the boys so exquisitely, and yet you mercifully put them (mostly) back together by the end, and I'm always grateful for that.

Thanks again! It was a great read!
PADavis chapter 12 . 10/5/2009
That was an astounding story - I was trolling my C2 alerts and found this gem. I loved how you handle the changing tenses, Sam's plan, the aftermath, but what had me almost in tears was the control exerted on Dean. Liking the days when he was allowed to drive was heartbreaking. Fantastic angst. I would be very glad to see a sequel - while I'm glad Sam is back to normal, and that was a unique way perhaps to heal him all around, I would like to see Sam get some understanding of why Dean isolated himself after the hunt. Sighs. More angst ahead. I'm very excited.

Hmm, where to begin?

This story was, for the most part, pretty fantastic. You have a very personalized, eloquent style. I found some of your prose difficult to read at times, but I appreciate that you have generated your own style, and that it usually works.

Your content was mostly amazing. There were plenty of lines that I read two or three times just because I liked the depth of them. I thought the darkness suited the plot, and up until the last couple chapters, I was hooked and couldn't stop reading.

The last few chapters I felt myself stumbling through. It seemed a little much on top of what the boys were already dealing with, and in the end I don't feel like any of their issues were resolved - except with one or two lines of heart-felt dialogue that seemed sort of strange and out of place considering the tone of the rest of the story. Dean keeps himself completely locked up and then suddenly explains why he did it in one sudden sentence at the end? I guess he did just almost lose Sam for good, but it still felt a little odd.

Which means... I really think you should write a sequel. I would definitely read it, because I'd love to hear how Dean and Sam move on after everything that you've thrown at them.

Despite what I have said about your last few chapters, I have to add in how much I loved how cyclical it ended. The action that Sam did to save Dean - the metal in his blood - first cost him so much but then saved all of their lives a second time in the end. Nice work! I think you could have emphasized that even more in your last chapter.

So in the end, yes... sequel? Right on, it's settled.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. :)
Madebyme chapter 12 . 6/17/2009
What a ride this story has been and I think it's safe to say that you've found your niche - horror and angst genres really suit your writing style!

The ending really suited the story. Winchester life is rarely - if ever - rosy and joyous and here you have them accept the luck and fortune they have received in being alive and back together again. But also you acknowledge the darkness and what a struggle it's been up to this point.

I liked it how the last few chapters echoed the first few but this time it was Sam who was struggling to accept the monster he might have become. Both boys have experienced a dark presence in their lives and it would seem that ultimately it was that that brought them back together again.

A sequel? I'd definitely be up for that but after all your hard work here I think you deserve a break, so go put your feet up! This was a dark but highly enjoyable read and I'm so glad that I found it. Take care, Madebyme.x

That, my dear, was an awesome last chapter! Absolutely loved how the brothers took care of each other. I wouldn't mind a sequel, let's hope your muse finds you ;-)

Congratulations on a great story! As you know I've loved it ALL - the horror of the skrabens and what they made Dean do; Sam's unwavering support and ultimate self sacrifice; Dean's absolute despair at the knowledge and inability to stop himself (some of your very best writing in my humble opinion!) and then on to the oh-so-painful re-establishment of their bond even though they were both so damaged. And THEN the final terrible hunt and its implications. Oh. My. God. What a ride it's been. And what a lot of work. Seriously, I don't know how you could gather the energy to even write the word sequel...But of course I will be there to enjoy it!

So, well done and thank you for a great read.

I enjoyed your story and liked the ending. Good to have both boys back together as brothers again. I wouldn't mind a sequel if you write one one day. Glad that Sam survived and his blood benifited him for once. I'll keep my eye out for another story from you in the future. Thank You.

I can't believe this is really over!

Also in the episode Heart, the victim has to be asleep to change. btw. So let's make sure sammy never sleeps

Great ending! I feel like there was so much in this chapter. I really like you got them out of it... I knew that metal in Sam's blood was going to be important! I also love that you didn't make it an easy fix emotionally at the end. Both boys are going to have baggage to deal with - so I can't wait for the sequel!
annie200 chapter 12 . 6/15/2009
I've really enjoyed this story. Thank you.
badaiwind chapter 12 . 6/15/2009
Talk about endurance.

Sam's better and the way you make it happen seems like a blessing in disguise for them.

Adrian died from biting Sam, never would have thought that.

If there is a sequel I will definitely read it.

Lastly, thank you for sharing this wonderful story.
