Oh, that was so veryvery sweet. There definitely needs to be more sweet stories like this involving these two. (If there are, I haven' t found them yet.)
I think you did a wonderful job with the first-person (which I think is a bit hard to find as well,) and I loved the dialogue. I especially loved the "shitty wife" and "after school special" lines.
I also liked the breaks in sections. The repetition with the awkward/not awkward was very fitting as was Ted remembering Marshall saying Barney was hitting on him.
And Krunoslav. I liked him a lot too.

This is the best Ted/Barney fic I've seen so far. I mean, I like most of the others too, but this one just really rings true for me. You took a pairing that's never, ever going to happen outside the world of fanfiction and made it work perfectly. I salute you.

I'm not a Barney/Ted lover mostly as I think Ted's too annoying but the show has all the foundations for them to work. I got to the paragraph where Barney leaves the cab and Ted has an epiphany and my not really feeling this ometer made me stop reading. Not because it wasn't well written but the fact that it was, would only take me so far with the pairing. I didn't close the page however, just went off to do other things. Came back to it a bit later and couldn't help myself. Was completely convinced by the end. Both by your scared Barney and this optimistic Ted. I loved the kiss. The way it changed from one thing to another. Barneys insistence he wouldn't be some story someday.

*sigh* I loved this. And there are so very few realistic, in-character Ted/Barney fics out there. Thank you for writing one that swept me along and made me believe in this pairing again.

Ooh, I like this. Barney/Ted is not a pairing I usually think about but it works. Barney does have a crush on Ted. I don't know if it's actually that he's in love with the guy or wants him but it's definitely not just friendship. I like how you described how it was awkward but not at the same time. I like Doing!Ted. Great job!
