Wow I'm so glad you're back. I missed Cold so much. But I totally understand your sentence: "Real life happened." I got it almost the same way, minus Japan and a betrayal. University life... :/ So when I got here after almost year and 2 months (since I was busy myself for whole year... well in fact I still am - school work, atc. :/ ) after I got alert for this chapter, I was really happy, I really love this story so I need to see/read what happens next :D Even if next chapter comes out after next year moves around, again. This is a form of relax and sanctuary for me from 'real world' So thanks for it!

I'm really enjoying this so far, your story is captivating and refreshingly imaginative. Love Alice in Wonderland and Neverwhere, although I've never read The Looking Glass Wars. I think there's some Matrix influence here too (secretly)? I love how each Naruto character has an Alice codename! Also, the Latin passwords are pure awesome, I even looked up their meanings. The only one that didn't make sense when translated was Naruto's, "nihil aurum maneo" - what was that intended to mean?

Just some quick constructive criticism for you - First, when a person is being directly addressed, there should be a comma separating their name from the rest of the phrase. For example, "Of course TenTen." should be "Of course, TenTen." Second, I think one should generally avoid referencing designers when writing fiction (referring to chapter 2) since it takes away from the timelessness of the story in spite of the attempt to convey status. This is just my personal opinion though.

Oh, and I do like the new separation style in chapter 4, it's much clearer than before.

Overall, the fantastical ambiguity of Alice combined with a darker, sci-fi twist works incredibly well here. Your lyrics heighten the atmosphere perfectly, I hope you don't stop writing them. I can't wait to read what happens next.
