This is stunning. You took my breath away. Accurate to each character's personality and beautifully written. Thank you.
De Amicus chapter 1 . 12/1/2015
Great job! It was enjoyable and undeniably powerful at the same time. I loved it when Sheppard informed McKay of some of the degrees military personnel were working on, sometimes people forget how smart military people are.
Elaine chapter 1 . 10/18/2012
Excellent.

Really enjoyed this story. A nice look at Sheppard dealing with 'everything ' after Elizabeth was lost. Thanks, Skye Graham

I have to say, this is one of my favorite SGA stories. I have nephews and a niece currently serving and I loved the way you represented the perspectives. Not everyone understands the sacrifices our military makes every day. Thank-you for this story!
lilawonder chapter 1 . 4/5/2011
Beautiful...Bad ending with the Marine prayer was perfect. We all should strive for these values. If we did the world we be a much more livable place.
linda.ljc chapter 1 . 4/4/2011
This is a wonderfully moving story. I just ache for John and his brave soldiers. And for the scientists, too, especially Rodney when John makes him realize he's perpetuating that mindset. Thank you for a memorable read.
ShadowWriter33 chapter 1 . 7/2/2010
Hey, I read this story a little while back, back before I realized you could have an account without posting stories, a fact that I learned after I finally got up the courage to post my first story, so anyway sorry I didn't review then, but I wanted to come back and say what a GREAT and touching story this was! I really, really liked it! Nice touch with the Marine's prayer at the end.
rsharpe chapter 1 . 2/14/2010

Potterworm chapter 1 . 1/9/2010
This story was absolutely amazing. I LOVE the interaction between McKay and Shepherd, and I think the ending line was incredible. I liked the italicized parts with him running too. Great story.
Jecka07 chapter 1 . 12/5/2009
Thank you for writing this. You portrayed the mindset of the Marine Corps very well. "The Corps thrived on tradition," so very true. The Corps will always hold a special place in my heart, my dad is a former Marine. I'm so proud of him and all those willing to serve. Your story was very well written. You stayed true to the characters and at the same time showed why some are willing to put their lives on the line for others. The few the proud . . . Semper Fi.
Tari Roo chapter 1 . 10/9/2009

Hello again~

I just wanted to tell you how much this story moved me.

It always angers me on SG1 and Atlantis, when the scientists disrespect the military personnel; especially Kavinaugh and Rodney...how many times have they been attacked because McKay was arguing with Sheppard and distracting them all from noticing that the bad guyes were sneaking up on them?

I loved the ending of this story especially Father Timothy “I’m Catholic, but can fake Protestant” he kept me from dripping tears all over your story! Might I ask if you are military yourself? I really like how you bring out those characters. Sincerely, jane
