I’m on the fence with this fic. I’m enjoying it so far, and really liking Harry’s and Jaspers interactions. However, I’m beginning to get increasingly irritated (angry?) at Edward. Harry is making it blatantly clear that he wants nothing to do with Edward, but he’s like a fucking leech (pun not intended). The confrontation in the hallway made me want to kick Edwards teeth in. On the same note, I don’t get why Jasper isn’t doing anything to stop Edward. If he’s so convinced Harry is the same as him - a soldier, then why the hell would he let Edward get up in Harry’s face like that? Pushing a wounded soldier into a corner is a freaking death sentence. Edward isn’t taking Harry seriously at all - none of them are.

Frankly, I want Harry to crush Edwards face in or something. As of right now, there is nothing appealing with the apparent leaning of a Harry and Edward pairing in this fic. They are extremely toxic to one another. Edward can’t relate to Harry and he’s also incredibly immature for his age. Not to mention, he doesn’t respect Harry at all. Edward comes across as selfish and inconsiderate as hell.

Us Brits tend to swear more (as in say bitch, shit, fuck, cunt- you get my point). I feel as though 'bloody' is a stereotype that most people think we say when in reality, we don't (and if we do it's only usually people that either don't like swearing or are slightly younger and would get scolded for saying the nastier words). We tend to have a kind of 'asshole/sarcastic' sense of humour. Good book though!

Too much AU

I don't even know where to start, you have a way of making everything clear and getting people to understand the trauma, brutality and ugliness of war. You show how human beings cope and suffer from loss. The part where Neville was talking about how grief tiers you apart, was so intense, truthful, that I cried reading it. We take for granted the peace and love we have. The way you slowly built up to Harry trusting Jasper truly made me feel Harry's hesitations to connect with another living being. How you write about them being soldiers gave me a sense of dread. I love this fanfiction, because it doesn't feel like a fanfiction, it feels like your own book. You took Harry and turned him around, you made him you own in a sense. You've done an amazing job with this fic, and I can wait foe more.

Okay you're definitely right about the Twilight and Tuck Everlasting comparison. I've never read Wizard of Earthsea but I'm going to just to see if you're right lmao.
