Wow just soooo intense!

I read the sentence "Alfred Pennyworth had been shot down" and immediately started bawling. Damn you, people like Alfie should be immortal, cuz it's impossible to not live without him D:

I've read the series up to now and am liking the stories and the way you've interpreted the post-DK world. I think the thing that kept me from really getting into it is how chatty Batman seems... I understand that that is the point of the stories, but it doesn't fit well with my head-canon of the character.

I do love Gordon in all of them, though. This one I really liked, because it was Wayne and Gordon. You got their dynamic down perfectly, and I liked that you managed to write Bruce knowing that he is closer to Gordon than Gordon realizes, and not make it really obvious. When I realized it was Alfred that died, I actually gasped, ahah. Horrible idea *glares at you* Poor Alfred.

I literally cannot imagine Alfred dying. I CAN'T. Alfred is just too... too stable! It breaks my heart to think of him dead!
Anyways, wonderfully written! There's a continuation to this? Are they all oneshots?

I am going to continue this.

Just to throw it out there, I have a burning hatred of 'death of Alfred' fics. They're so damn depressing. That said...I did rather like where this whole series went. It was dark, but it was interesting and rather thoughtful.

Also, to throw it out there, and it's unlikely that you're interested, but there was a comic that dealt with a Batman that killed instead of just locked up... Granted, he was a vampire at the time, but hey. Red Rain. Really truly amazing little vampire novel, and with Batman. How cool can you get?
