Very nice! I normally don't like poetry, but this is great! Deep, insightful, and so very true. Somehow, I'm thinking of the Becky Tailweaver fic (you know, Coming Home?) while reading this. It kind of fits.

I like it. For writing so late at night, you made it flow beautifully. I don't know why, but I really like this line: "But now it's time to return, cover the eyes, hide ten years in an optic disguise." I love the ending stanza as well. It really summed up his feelings really well. Good job.

Wow... the poetry was perfect. All the rhyming words, everything... it's better than what I could've written, I reckon. And I thought I was good at poetry! XD
