It makes me wonder how you people come up with these ideas. Not some pointless stories but really good drama that leaves the reader all emotional, moved by what you've written.

Wow. I'm truly surprised this doesn't have more reviews. This piece is one of the most beautiful fanfics I've ever read. It made me cry several times... Like you said, it reminds everyone that there is a man behind the mask.

So sad...and so beautiful. You really captured Gordon's and Bruce's emotions here. Well done!

My favorite part: "Gordon looked at the girl, the vision of the man donning his mask as he arrived making sense to him now. It was an image he'd remember for the rest of his life; an image that would remind him that there was a man beneath the mask. He looked back to try to comfort the shaken hero before him, but all he saw was the darkness of the street. He was gone."

I also love Alfred's speech. He always seems to know what to say to comfort his charge.
