So far this is really good! I like the concept of Ed being a super OVERPROTECTIVE brother of Al. I think it’s cute, but I understand why Al would hate it. I also think it’s funny that Roy chose Al as his favorite Elric lmao

I love the fact that Riza and Roy are together! Many people said they were perfect for each other in the anime. I also love the fact that Roy (and everyone else) calls her by her real last name, most men would blanch at that! The funny thing is, technically, a woman doesn’t even have to change her last name!

Ed hates Mustang, and he kinda always had, but I like how you gave Ed a serious reason to actually hate his guts, but Mustang doesn’t return the favor. For some reason, I just like it when those two have beef!

And btw, that “keep an eye” Nike was actually really funny XD

Side note: you said it was "more hurty" than some of your stories, but I didn't expect to feel almost physically ill when we found out about Hawkeye's pregnancy (something that never happens to me) or to have trouble thinking because I see Al's decimated body every time I close my eyes. I'm never going to be able to forget this. Gosh, dude.

Don't get me wrong, this is wonderfully written. Much as it hurts to think about, I think you've captured the characters very well, considering the situation and all.
That said, this has to be one of the most horrifically depressing fics I've ever read (and I've read several of your other stories). To be honest, much as I want to know what will happen I'm kind of glad you're putting it on hiatus because it can only get worse from here, and it physically pains me to see the characters like this. Every chapter left me sort of staring in blank shock and shaking with horror. Why do you do this to me, man? I'm going to have to watch at least 10 episodes of Ouran High School Host Club just so I don't walk around looking shell-shocked all day. Yeesh.
Anyway, phenomenal writing (as always). Oh also, the Royai was adorable. (before you killed Hawkeye and their child, ya know) I caught myself grinning like a mad person once or twice over how adorable they are/were.

OH MAH GAWSH WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! YOU'RE DRIVING ED INSANE, ROY AND ALL THE OTHERS HATE HIM, AL DIED, AND HAWKEYE HAD A KID AND THEY BOTH DIED?! WHAT THE HECK?!

I have read this before and wondered why I didn't reread it. Now I remember . The pain of this story is wow.

A small part of me is actually glad you didn't choose to update this any further because quite honestly this story is making me depressed in a way that I didn't even know was possible to accomplish through reading. You really are a phenomenal writer. I was able to vividly imagine the state of all the characters throughout their ordeal and I felt miserable for each and every one. And I think the most horrifying part of the story was its believability when it came to the characters' action.

I can see why you might have lost steam on this fic. Ye heavens but this AU is angsty- horrifically so. I don't know if/how you had plans for resolving anything to make things better. The main point of hope that I saw was how Falman didn't let Mustang force himself back to work; that might've been a sign of his stepping up to be of more support later on...

You know what is the saddest part of this fic for me? Not that Al or Riza died or how Ed is insane, but how it changed everything between Roy and Ed. Ed hating Roy, someone who was like a father to him, protecting him, guiding him, since he was twelve. Roy actually burning and enjoying hurting someone who was like a son to him, someone who he basically raised. All that happened to this bond of theirs is just terribly sad. I would like Ed to come back to his sain self. To somehow, even if without Roy and the guys knowing, support him and protect from shadows, to atone for his sins. So that somehow, someday, Roy could forgive him.

What the hell? I'm crying. I NEVER cry at fiction! This is absolutely AMAZING, no one is particularly OOC (for their situations anyways), and the writing is really good!

please don't quit writing this story, I am really enjoying it!
