A creative use of the prompt without resorting to the obvious. You spend a lot of time crafting the crime scenario part and I applaud that.

Wonderful! I really enjoyed reading this :D Such a good story, loved the plot and the intricacy and the little nod to Clue (or Cluedo :D) fantastic. I liked how you wrote the banter between Lindsay and Flack also, and the bet that Lindsay has once again won from Danny :D And Sid was in here too, and Hawkes, really good to see them. But of course, Mac and Stella, just wonderful :D You wrote them so well, exactly them, with Mac's pacing the room as he figures out how the killer moved, and Stella's need to understand why Maria did what she did, and how this deflates her. Such a wodnerful ending, romantic, humorous, so sweet :D Please write more soon!
