I love this especially the interaction between Elrond and Galadriel :D
Galad Estel chapter 1 . 8/25/2011
It a touching story. I have always like Elrond and Galadriel and being able to listen in on one of their conversations is nice
Darkover chapter 1 . 5/21/2011
Dear Aearwen22: You have done your usual fine job of writing. You seem to understand Elves, their feelings, and their motivations better than most fan authors. This tale is also delightfully descriptive, and I welcome the fact that Elrond, Galadriel, and everyone else on board-including two hobbits and a certain Istari-will be healed once they reach the Undying Lands. I enjoyed reading this. Thank you for writing and posting it. Sincerely, Darkover
Epilachna chapter 1 . 7/11/2009
That was a somber piece. It feels very right somehow. I have never dwelled much on the rings and the effects of their loss on Elrond & Galadriel (for some reason, not one of the pieces of ME history of interest to me). These two characters have experienced such complex lives that we simply can't expect them to hop off the boat onto the white shores and say, 'all is well'. There is so much they have to heal. But despite this, the story ends in hope that all will be well one day.
Destined Darkness chapter 1 . 5/9/2009

KyMahalei chapter 1 . 3/31/2009
Hm. I read this story with quiet piano music playing in the background. Very fitting. You seem so at home with working within the parameters of the cannon. Someday, when I grow up, maybe I'll know as much of Tolkien as you seem to.
Lathril chapter 1 . 2/21/2009
Wonderful story! I love your personification of Galadriel and the struggles she is going through, leaving Celeborn behind and returning to a place she left so many many years before. Her misgivings and fears seem so real and thoughtful, and Elrond's words to comfort her seem spot on. Perhaps a sequel for when Celeborn and *hopefully* the twins sail as well?
Kyilliki chapter 1 . 2/21/2009
The atmosphere of this story is lovely; it seems quiet and gentle, a little wistful but not overly dramatic. Galadriel and Elrond are perfectly in character, and their dialogue sounds natural. You did a very good job of capturing a pensive, reflective scene.

Keep up the great work :)
