Loved this story. Just noticed it was posted over here, so I'm totally faving it. Thank you so much for this. Such a wonderfully constructed AU. Dan and Ror are so beautifully in character. I'm on to Exiles!

My god, this is about the best Watchmen fic I've ever come across! You build this AU up so well and so plausibly, until it feels like a living, breathing thing. And I love the way you write Dan and Rorsarch's relationship, not prettying it down but making you hope against hope for it to work, and feel honest tenderness toward the way they depend so much on each other and are willing to forgive one another. Wonderful work and I can't wait to read the sequel.

This has to the best gratuitous fix-it fic, with porn, EVER. I mean that. The fix-it solutions are feasible. The sex is believable and stays touchingly in-character. I don’t have to tell you how hard that is to find in any fandom! I wasn’t a fan of the pairing, but written this way, I am hooked! It’s been a long time since I’ve ached over real people, much less fictional ones. Amazing work.

What an amazing ending! I love how well you keep the feel that no one's good or bad-there's only varying shades of gray (it really stays true to that idea found in Watchmen). Dan's such a complex character, just doing what he hopes is for the best. In fact, everyone's just acting in the way they deem best, remaining true to their own principles even if it goes against every rule set down by standard society. You have a deep story-it really makes me think and I love it for that.

I'm so relieved that Rorschach's still alive! Pummeled and nearly dead, yes, but alive for now. I'm wondering if Veidt's going to play a more major role now, since Rorschach has decided to directly challenge him and may be viewed as more of a threat...I can't wait for the next chapter!
