It is too bad that your muse ran away. Your story was wonderful, and I wish that it had been finished...darn you, pesky muse! ;)

What a great story! And if anyone bugs you about short chapters, ignore them. Using an iPad, if you accidentally touch the screen you are back at the top of the chapter and have to scroll down to find your place. Very frustrating when a ‘chapter’ is actually a novella.

I really like your writing style. If you could change this somehow to originalsetting and characters, it would be a great YA book. You could even keep them at the current age, 13 or so. But not have ‘Snape’ be a chemistry or potions teacher. But you could still have a curmudgeon character.

I can't believe ANY adult would walk away having seen a child thrown into a cupboard and experienced the full nastiness of the Dursleys. They could murder I'm in the next half hour. He should go straight to the police.

I liked this! The monster bit gave the story a sinister backdrop that wasn't completely Voldemort or the dialed dursleys or something normal like that. I liked watching their relationship transform.

Fantastic story! Its been over a decade but I hope your muse strikes back and you update it someday. Thank you for the wonderful read!
