God, I love how you portray Sasuke, beacuse ... well, because you stay very accurate. Sasuke's one of my favourite characters from Naruto and I love how you do him perfect justice. Maybe you're a perverted person (yeah, and maybe the sky is blue :P ) but you write angst EXTREMELY well. You are an amazing writer, know it and never forget it!

But your story is really good, it was like reading the manga when Kakashi died again! I was all "noooo, Kakashi you can't die! " (And boy, I was glad when he came back to life in the manga xD)

I love Sasuke's perspective in this, almost makes me wish I were still following the anime/manga. This is truly one of the saddest things I've ever read, considering my love for Kakashi... I'm glad I know he's okay after though. I love the line about "someone's Naruto" and Shizune being Tsunade's Sakura... it made everything so much more... emotional and personal. Great oneshot!

I really enjoyed this. Obviously, canon would have taken it in another direction afterwards... if only Sasuke did come back during that time! Sigh. Thanks for writing this.

Short, but straight to the point. It's perfect the way it is. Love the line "Shizune was Tsunade's Sakura." Really sums it up nicely.

"The man lying dead on his right was someone’s Naruto. Shizune was Tsunade’s Sakura."

I love that line. And I love this fic 3 Even if Kishimoto did handwave all the damage a few chapters later, it was still an awesome reminder of what could have happened if he hadn't. The voice and tone are very much like what I'd imagine the inside of Sasuke's head would sound like, too. Well done!

I seriously remembered when this happened. When Kakashi 'died' I started crying hysterically. I couldn't believe it. It's a relief he's okay now. But I had this exact same crazy imagination that Sasuke would come back after everyone died. :[
