i thought from the start that this bella is something of an immature idiot who runs away from adult problems. and by making her a member of the press she cannot hide behind girlish naivete- she would have known exactly that this would be happening in the tabloids. edward is a public figure worth a fortune of course there would be a background check. ergo your plotline/realism takes a beating-and i know it is fanfic- and character motivation make no sense. i give up.

there is very very very little royal in edward and even less in the baby...you really have no idea about how the british aristocracy works and couldnt be bothered to find out. you write in a most entertaining style and and then ruin the whole effect ...consider that not all your readers are ignorant of what you are writing.

royal...how id edward royal? he is a duke...but if he is a royal duke then he is the adult married son of a reigning monarch. which he is not. you could have found this out of wikipedia for goodness sake.
and now he is somehow scots? english aristocracy would never wear a kilt and all associated items to a formal event- they might wear one if in scotland on holiday if they had a scottish estate. as do memebers of the english royal family at balmoral. a kilt is not fancy dress either.
its utterly ruining the story. if you do not want to do a little research then keep the details much moe vague.

back to some research. to be known as lady rose hale, rose is a lady in her own right not married to lord hale so she is lady rose never lady hale. please please do a little research as you destroy in a sentence carefully created suspension of disbelief with this.

this is a fun story and a total fantasy but a little research on occasion would help. for high fashion alice (and bella) would have gone to harvey nichols not harrods.

Geldings are gelded/castrated male horses. They cannot reproduce, so they cannot do anything for a bloodline. Stallions or colts on the other hand can.

Nice. Bella is a skank. Funny, she even knows Jasper is Edward's cousin and she still flirts and allows him to feed her. She doesn't even know him. What a whore!

It is so stupid for her to close her eyes as she falls. No one does that...I'm not sure why this is in a lot of the fanfic stories. Is this what was in the original books? I can't remember because it's been a few years since I've read them but this cliche is stupid. If a female does this and someone is around to catch them, they should let the girl fall. Morons.

Edward, though a forgiving man, is moving to quickly. Personally, he would be better off without her. With his position, her immature reactions to situations, are not conducive to a successful relationship. He should have hired a lawyer to acquire joint custody of the child, and maybe they could have worked something out relationship wise down the road. After she grew up and realized how harmful her responses to a given situation truly were. Don't agree with the direction the story has gone, but am impressed with your writing. Not every relationship needs an HEA, especially this one.

Not sure I like the frequent back and forth of the narrative POV. It feels ping pongy.
