![]() ![]() ![]() I know you wrote this over a decade ago... but man was this story a journey. I love so many things about this fic- I absolutely fell in love with your characterizations of Nate and Elliot. I love how they both taught eachother something. I love the way you can see Elliot is plagued by his past (amazing backstory) but also how loyal and protective he is to a fault. I love your writing style. Thanks for writing this |
![]() ![]() ![]() I’ve read this story sooo many times now, found it over a year ago. And though I love the entire story as a whole, this chapter is my absolute favorite. Eliot’s rules are so, so, so well written and honestly so beautifully written. Not only that, they way you fit them into this chapter, the way that you didn’t just have Eliot go through the list at once, but you did *this* instead... wow. You are such a talented writer and this chapter is one of the best chapters I’ve ever read...of anything. Ever. Anyway, just wanted to make sure you knew how talented you are and how amazing this chapter, and story as a whole, is. So, you’re awesome. :D |

![]() ![]() Thank you. I am in tears. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my gosh that ending made me cry! The "chess by mail" was so unbelievable adorable! I love that Eliot went back to his sister and I flipped out inside when she said his nephews name was 'Eliot'! I love how you wrote Eliot and Nate's relationship, it was such a good idea as to how they knew each other before Leverage. Love love love! You're such a good writer and I absolutely loved reading this story. So well written and also love the addition of chess and Eliot's rules and ugh everything was so wonderful. Thank you for writing this and I know I'm going to read it again for sure :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() A wonderful and bittersweet story. |

![]() ![]() ![]() You are good. You are very good. I have loved every inch of this so far, but my favorite part was when he philosophies came into play. I wonder if he thinks that about himself in the actual sereis. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for this story. It's really very touching. The depth of feeling that can be expressed through teaching and learning is a concept that has fascinated people for centuries. In Japan teachers are nearly the most respected class. In India they are the second most respected caste. In "The Count of Monte Cristo" a similar arrangement between prisoners formed one of the most significant relationships of the book and allowed the ending to be "God will give me justice" instead of a tale of how vengeance destroyed all their lives. This bond has been the cause of redemption, of heroism, of nearly all that is good in this wicked world of ours. Thank you so much for expressing this power, this treasure, so very well. I doff my hat to you. :) |
