I loved this story as the past flowed into the future and back again.

Some may find the transitions confusing - I found them well crafted.

Nice story. I love the reference in your summary: that's a Ray Bradbury story, right. Love that story, and I think of it often when the world seems to be going in the wrong direction (I wonder who went back in time and stepped on a bug running from the dinosaur)

Of course there had to be some kind of change. They went to Giza...that's one. Supposedly stayed there, that's two...and well...so many options more. Liked the fact they found out because of the blue eyes! Wonder who guilty one is!
