Surprisingly sweet!

I was expecting more angst or a feeling of disconnect, but if anything it's the opposite and presented in such a relatable, overly human way.

That's the thing about MvA - The Monsters are generally the nicest characters in the canon; the various humans all mostly have repellent traits that reminds us that the worst monsters hide behind respectable-seeming faces. Even the aliens tend to have some kind of plausible justification for their behaviour that doesn't come down to stupidity, selfishness, greed or psychotic amorality (unlike the humans).

A very well-written vignette that manages to give us some insight into Susan's thinking and adaptation to her situation. Beautifully done. I'm not entirely sure the final analogy works (since it can be taken in a couple of ways), but it's pretty clear what the intent is, and for that it works very nicely.
In fact the only problem with this story is that it's just a one-off short scene...

I really like your conclusion, that girls should dream of being superheroes rather than housewives. It struck a chord.

This was sweet, and a great story.

I'd like to think I have a command of words, but none can describe how sweet and awesome this was. I especially loved the bit with Ginormica musing to herself that the sacrifice of her normality was worth it, and reveling in her newfound confidence. It was the main feeling I came away with after watching the movie.
