How is it possible that Nyota carries a torch for Spock for that long-to the exclusion of any other person, especially a man, and them hop into bed with this Solomon guy like it means nothing? And if that's not bad enough, she jumps from Solomon's bed and rushes back to try and get in Spock's? Does a young woman like Uhura have that little respect for her own body? Or is this author's cavalier attitude about sex reeking into the storyline?

Totally implausible that for a year or so Nyota maintains a platonic friendship with Spock with whom she is totally in love and then drops into bed with some old flame, Solomon, in like a couple of hours of seeing him again. I'm like, really? Not only that, she jumps from Solomon's bed and runs back to SF to try and get into Spock's bed? Your story, but honestly, that was jarring...The Nyota you created, with her conservative pant suits and intellectual discourse that excludes any hint of intimacy SIMPLY DOESN'T DO THAT. The Nyota you created holds her body and her sexuality much more dearly than that.

A clever piece of writing. I really like the way you've combined canon and your own imagination in this.

I read all your Spock and Uhura fics in one day. They are hands down the best that I have ever come across and you are now what I would consider the definitive writer on their match. I can't wait to read what you come up with next! Thanks for sharing!

I stayed up until 1:00 to read this cuz I couldn't stop! I thought Uhura was out of character and she didn't display normal feelings: when Spock wanted to end it like that, The Uhura we all know would have thought that was ridiculous. But it was interesting: I never thought about how before Spock prime convinced him otherwise Spock would not only be leaving star fleet but essentially Uhura. The beginning where they are not really dating. Spock was almost too in character! He isn't actually that rigid and logical. The last chapter was not nearly as good as the first two. Overall good but not as great as all these faves and reviews suggest.
