You say that Severus Snape's last letter wasn't to anyone important but you MADE her important. You bring these characters and stories and seemingly insignificant people to life and you give them their own stories. You should be extremely proud of yourself.

Fantastic story.

Wow, this is a very impressive story. I love the unusual POV - especially since I’ve never given Katie a second thought after she came back to school, seemingly cured, in HBP. It’s chilling but surely realistic to imagine that even Snape’s best efforts couldn’t undo the whole curse. I admire Katie’s determination to keep going, to not let this terrible fate get her down, and that she takes comfort and encouragement from a good man who spent the last hours of his life, among many other things, thinking of her because he owed her that thought. Pure beauty. I’ll re-read this story more than once and with the greatest pleasure.

Favorite because I love stories that take the time to explore the depth of secondary characters and aren't afraid to worldbuild. A thought occured to me near the end it must be a lot harder to perform proper wand movements if you can't see your hands.

This story gives strength. I review because of Snape. I don't understand what I feel for him, I know that it gives me strength. This story is that.
Determination to keep going, you could say. Bravery, you could say.
It reaches places of pain in me, and shows me the way to go. Words like life or light or meaning don't fit exactly, but come close.

Short & lovely. And very real.

Most people (me included) never give Katie Bell another thought, and I love that you did, especially in conjunction with Snape. This is wonderful.

My favorite type of fic: picking up an ancillary character and making them a living, breathing part of the greater world.
