This works so well.
DoHol chapter 1 . 3/29/2015
For such a happy story, I cannot understand why there is dust in my eye.
cklammer chapter 1 . 1/15/2013
Nice. Made me smile.
Erik chapter 1 . 11/24/2012
An excellent sense of sentimentality from the descendants of two hard men.
Michael Hand chapter 1 . 8/12/2012
just brilliant
aussie ian chapter 1 . 6/22/2012
If an Irish Rifleman can find his way to the Chateau, would there be a chance of an American Officer, possibly from an armoured unit, (sucessors to the cavalry,) also finding his way there ?
Six of Twelve chapter 1 . 10/16/2010
Oh, I liked this. Well done.
Susan M. M chapter 1 . 6/28/2010
Not bad, not bad at all. And I did like your disclaimer: "looking down the wrong end of a Baker rifle. Or a summons."
MoonlitPuddle chapter 1 . 6/16/2010
This is really cool and very well written! It's nice to think of the Sharpes staying there and "blood will out". :) You did miss out quite a few words, though, like:

**He introduced himself as, and surprised to be invited into the kitchen for a meal and a tale.**

Otherwise, it was really neat. :D
Darkover chapter 1 . 5/10/2010
I like this a lot! Short and sweet. You have a good turn of phrase and a fine style of writing. I also like your plot of family-as-legacy. Thank you for writing and posting this. Sincerely, Darkover

Aww I loved this. Loved that you have shown how Sharpe and Harper will always live on :)

Also liked how it follows the books and how you chose the name for Augusting Richard Harper!

Saw the films before I read the books and although the books are amazing I can only see Sean Bean and Daragh O'Malley as the characters and here you also brought them to life.

Well done :)
Stutley Constable chapter 1 . 7/14/2009
Damned fine story! Gives me a shiver. Now I have to dig out my Sharpes books again.

Thanks for sticking to the book version of the story. While I enjoy the movies the books are cannon for me.
Czechmade chapter 1 . 7/14/2009
