Resisting the Borg chapter 1 . 12/9/2015
... You know, having finished Code Geass at last, I think this one might be joining my list of OPs.

I AM CRYING
sonder this chapter 1 . 3/8/2015
Love it, love it, love it-it-it.

Gino's type of character always endears to me and Kallen's reaction to his person is just perfect. How they seem to think on different brain waves but complement each other in the end anyways because both have something the other needs. And the part where without having to say it, Kallen was insecure about herself and the veracity of Gino's feelings towards her - and how he can so easily reassure her in just one moment. The ending imagery pretty much sums up the two's relationship.

It's unfortunate that you don't seem to write much for this pairing because I would have been interested to see your other interpretations of their interactions, AU! or otherwise.
Cheryl chapter 1 . 8/4/2014
Sweet
N'Kyrie chapter 1 . 6/26/2014
Awesome
Doctorjaws chapter 1 . 3/20/2014
I really like the humour in this. The fourth wall breaks and random asides are especially good since they are used in just the right amount. Characterisation is pretty spot-on for both the happy couple and the supporting cast (I laughed so hard at Villeta's comment). And it is refreshing to read a Kallen/Gino fic that isn't angsty. Lovely little gem.
weland chapter 1 . 6/9/2013
Crackfic is win. I love the repeated delay in letting the shoe drop, repeatedly Kallen protests and eventually Gino wins her over. Who would he NOT win over? :)
goldspears chapter 1 . 6/8/2013
Lol, this is cute.
sapphireswimming chapter 1 . 10/22/2012
This is really sweet. And I enjoyed the breaking of the fourth wall throughout the entire narration. And the juxtaposition of the "not spring wedding" to the "summer wedding"
VanillaMostly chapter 1 . 8/9/2012
great job! this was so hilarious, yet sweet and serious when it had to be too. it's like Code Geass true fashion - all that silly exaggerated humor sprinkled across something meaningful!
Sabishi Tomo chapter 1 . 6/27/2012
Laughed a lot xD. Nicely done. They make a really amusing pair.
Pinboo chapter 1 . 4/3/2012
Summer wedding... your fanfic is perfect
Sudentor chapter 1 . 3/27/2012
One of the things that will forever entertain my about Code Geass is the amount of ridiculously young soldiers put into an official position of great authority, and how absolutely cavalier they can be about it, given that these are people who brought some of the most powerful Knightmare Frames into school for a silly contest, yet someone still be able to adjust to casual school life.

I generally don't make a habit out of commenting on shorts; I have an aversion to leaving reviews that are too short, and the shorter the story is, the less I have to comment on. However, your writing (and humor) is certainly good enough for me try at least try and make the attempt to dissect some of this stuff into something that doesn't end up being a gratuitous "great fic".

Even though it was hinted just before the last battle that Kallen and Gino might just have a bit of chemistry between them, I'm still mildly uncomfortable at the notion of fics putting the two of them together in oneshots. This has a lot to do with my aversion to Pairing the Spares, which I kind of see as shoehorning characters into romances because viewers want to see love, previous buildups or relationships be damned. However, if a post-R2 shipfic must be sought, and a Lelouch resurrection just isn't possible, I would think that Gino would be a excellent choice indeed, not just because he's probably the only real candidate left (bar Suzaku), but because - after the deredere that Kallen generally exhibits around Lelouch - it's almost mildly refreshing to see her put much emphasis on the tsun, something that Gino does well in playing the receiving role. And you are correct; Gino's probably one of the best characters to abuse (save Lelouch and Suzaku and Tamaki, I suppose, but they get abused enough by canon as is). Mercifully, Gino's gallant and chivalric enough as is, and you did well not to overexaggerate his qualities (not that his qualities aren't an overexaggeration to begin with, so you may or may not have your work cut out for you already).

In this case, your writing of Kallen's tsuntsun is quite fun. It's worked to a formula, and there's no real ground being broken - which certainly isn't your fault, considering that tsunderes seem to be all the rage right now, so while I can't praise you for not taking advantage of the very, very small room left for creativity in this character type, I express pleasure nonetheless that you chose not to go too far in the tsun direction that would've made Kallen unsympathetic, a common pitfall for both fanfic writers and anime producers alike for the sake of sociopathic humor - but what's tried-and-true is done well here, emotions ranging from indignity to embarrassment to frustration to denial. This is helped strongly by the comic nature of your formation of words. There were a great number of turns of phrases that made otherwise stock humor scenarios grow a life of their own, a kind of comically inane observation over absurdity. These phrases include "a mere three feet to Gino's six" describing his fall "broken by his own skull, and he had a nice, if impromptu, nap on the surface of the pool as he floated back up"; about how he had to "buy [a hat] eventually, but that's a completely different story that has nothing to do with this one"; and how Gino "yelled 'safe' to make sure that the guards wouldn't follow him inside" (an, as an aside, Viletta at the window making "a very threatening gesture for them to back the hell off" to secret service").

A few scenes, I think, were also rather well-done on their own. Again, mention would have to made of how Gino had to "buy [a hat] eventually, but that's a completely different story that has nothing to do with this one" (gives a very happily nostalgic feel). And, of course, how "there was never a spring wedding", except you dropped that "it was a summer wedding" (to my credit, I saw this one coming, but I smiled nonetheless when I got to the last sentence of the story). Personally, I was particularly enamored with Villeta's only speaking line: "I shot Ougi after I realized I'd been falling love with the 'enemy'. I don't think I'm the right person to judge."

You've gotten writing Code Geass oneshot fics to a strong form, and while I won't be reviewing all of them, I'd be quite happy to say that I've enjoyed most of what you've written. The only other piece of critique I can give you is an advisory for you to watch your punctuations - those hyphens and commas are very important, so make sure you get them all before readers fumble with incredibly long sentences that you're sometimes prone to writing as you weave your humor - but that doesn't change the fact that you are quite the storyteller and comic writer. I hope that I've said enough for it not to be gratuitous, therefore, when I give you the conclusion to my review: "Great fic."
varee chapter 1 . 11/4/2011
oh my god, soo sweet. exacty as I imagined Kallen being wooed, and your sugary narration fit whole story just right. I won't say anything constructive or new, seeing as you've written over 300 fics, but I enjoyed my little reading time today. really did.
MentalParrot chapter 1 . 7/13/2011
I've been a fan of this fic, since...forever. Read it 11 times.(I use it to bolster my bravery when I dive into the scary archives of fanfiction.) This is one of my top favorite one-shots I've read on fanfiction. Your characterization was perfect, and believable. I wanted to hug your charismatic Gino, and your flustered Kallen. The moment to moment thing had wonderful transition, with each having catchy ending lines that pinch the whole thing together.

The only thing I'm dissatisfied with is that, this is the only Gino and Kallen piece you've written. That was sickeningly cliche, but it's absolutely true.

P.S I'm reminding you to do that Rivalz/Tamaki BFF goodness. Yeah?
