The Dialogue is pretty good for something from around 2002(although it could have been edited at a later date, idk still good), it's not stiff, and it actually stands out, overall it's an ok fic, worth a read. The ending though is a 0/10 for me, it's an ending in name only. "Neither knew that they were at a peak in their short relationship. If they had they may have acted differently or said something more,which may have helped in the longer term". This is some lazy writing right here, I think the writer got stuck at this point, and just wanted to end it, so he tried and failed to add a bit of meaning or depth to the ending. And then tacked on, "there will be an epilogue". I haven't seen any epilogue to my knowledge, it feels more like an abandonment really, feels like something you would come up with, because you we're going on vacation for a month, and didn't wan't to think about it. I think most people would have been fine, if the ending was like "The final stands of light wen't down, and the two pilots embraced" or something about the sunset and the eternal summer of Japan or something. But the ending we got just undermines it all, we've already seem them fight and then recover from it, for an entire chapter pretty much, and we hear Rei talk about how losing bonds that may never be able to be recovered. And then the ending is "Their relationship crashes and burns lol". Anyway if their was an epilogue, it would probably be some BS, with the pretty much trope of Asuka running back into Shinji's life, after the angel wars, and then they get together again, which i'm sure his fans would have been begging for more vile, while scooping it out their hands, of the diaper infested water.

I love thi story. Not a huge fan of the ending but the story is gripping. The romance is sweet and belivable. I wish you continued instead of that cheap ending just to free yourself from the obligation to continue. I get it. It is hard to invest yourself to story like that. Long one like this one at that. I just wish there was more to it. I dont think that at this point in their relationship, a poor little beachball of doom could end it. Asuka would rip that angel apart with her bare hands to get to Shinji. The only thing that could test their relationship could be Bardiel but even there. I think they could pull thru. Ohh how would I love to see what happens with the other angels.

It is a lovely story. I enjoyed it. I think not including the battles with the Angels made this better. Are you still around? Do you have the motivation to write other stories? How about the epilogue for this story. I am curious on how you wanted to end this...if you have the urge to complete this after so much time.

Nicely done. Afew minor editing errors, and maybe a tad out of character, but certainly not enough to detract from the brilliance of this. Congratulations on a really well-written story.

Great story, but the small errors scattered here and there might turn away readers. I have a feeling you wrote this story without planning, and never checked to make sure that it actually makes sense. Very good concept, creative, great story, but those little details, DETAILS! *shudder*

I know I've reviewed already, and due to the amount of time since this was updated, I may not get an answer, but I have a question nonetheless.

Is it a physical or emotional end of their relationship? I.E., is it short-lived because they are killed, or because someting forces them to break up? It's a little confusing, considering the end of the EoE movie...

Hmm. I quite like this story. It provides an interesting approach to the nagging question of how Asuka and Shinji could ever get together, while also exploiting a similarity that they share with no-one else. The only thing I have found to complain about would be lack of appropriate punctuation, especially commas. Since this is a relatively unimportant facet of a story, I display it merely as a final revision idea.

Wow this fic was great its a shame it couldnt go on but it was AMAZING and i guesse i just got to apreciate what i can get :)

A great romance story, the plot around it set by the song Shinji heard by his mother was original as well as very thought out. It had its tender moments but one that got me really good was the one where Fuyutsuki came in while they were practicing the song. This story by my standards should be a classic.
