This site ( ) seemed to have stories that were well written (cannot read poor writing!). The "M" rating is just me, indulging myself. This story is the second one I have picked to actually read through. The premise was intriguing and your first chapter was so well-written I wanted to read on. Thank you again! |
| Scribner's2328 chapter 1 . 3/11 Holy cow. It isn't my place to tell you anything about yourself and your writing talent. I can say, though, that you have completely piqued my interest. For obvious reasons, in SM's YA Twilight world Edward's inner life was inaccessible, and I think that you have nailed it here. I'm not good at analyzing literature, but I was raised in the Catholic church, and the symbolism was clear and effective, without having to be hit over the head with it. I believe that you captured the Cullen family's struggle, originated with Carlisle and his father, to strive for a life of Humanism, and against evil. I think that your insight at the end about the reason Edward was horrified at himself - that he had no right to prevent the possible redemption of those he killed - was the clincher. And you have - in my opinion (sorry, I said I wouldn't do this), done this with excellence because you can WRITE. This is how intelligent people think and speak. Thank you. I look forward to having time to keep reading. |
