Such a beautifully written, bittersweet story. I have a theory had it not been for Ariana's attack then eventual accidental death, Albus would have been just as, if not moreso, dark of a wizard.

Absolutely heart wrenching; poignant and beautiful and triadic. Absolutely wonderful it left an acute ache in my heart. Might have beens truly are the saddest. The last part was heartbreaking.

I have so many good things about this story. You are magic, I tell you. Magic!

I think I read this a long time ago and found it wonderful but stupidly did not review.

I'll now say what I think: your writing is exquisite, your story is beautiful and your charcters are very cleverly formed.

The imagery and all was beautiful, the little details were squeezed in there rather gracefully and I enjoyed how Ariana seemed like Albus's sister in every way and how Gellert seemed the dangerous boy he really was.

And the second part, what had happened: I love how you leaned a bit towards Gellert's perspective in places when it seemed right and Ariana's too, portraying his confusion and Ariana's understanding of something being amiss.

All in all, a story I greatly love, written by an author I respect very much.

I read your story so long ago - but never found the time to leave a review. everything about this fic is so so lovely. just the fact you explored what Ariana could have been is perfect. the different scenes break my heart by the end, because Ariana could have stayed sane. and I don't even know - but this is PERFECT.

I loved this to bits! It was incredibly bitter sweet (and it made me go "awwww" a couple of times... why can't these magical romances happen nowadays? D: ), and I sort of wish this IS what happened... minus it possibly erasing the existence of Harry Potter :P
