Reread this for the 100th time in quarantine. Still as good as in 2009. I wonder how this story would have ended.

Amazing fic. I have just reread it during this social distance mess. I would really hope if you update it. After so much angst it is just a shame we don’t get to see chair as girlfriend and boyfriend (not even a tiny chapter). I also really wish to understand why Carter is so antagonizing. Congratulations on your work. You are truly a marvelous writer.

This is one of the best, well-written stories I've ever come across. I know it's unlikely you'll ever update it again, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's sooo good.

In the begining I was I little uncertain with Blair, and wishing for Chuck's POV, but as the story progressed I was hooked. Every character is so well toughout and consistent. I love Nate, and Serena and Blair's friendship, and the development of Blair and Chuck is just genious. You are such a talented writer. Thank you, it was a joy to read this fic. I was so caught up, and I've loved every chapter.

Any chance you want to update this in celebration of the reboot?

While I'm sad this story wasn't completed, I thank you for writing it and your contribution to this Fandom. This has been a joy to read from start to finish. And if there's any chapter to leave us hanging, this is a good stopping point in my view. It would have been interesting to read about the dinner between Blair, Chuck and Harold. Somehow I don't think he'd approve of Blair and Chuck dating. I wonder why Carter feels so threatened by Chuck and Blair's relationship. Is he just afraid of losing Chuck as a friend of is there more to it?

This has been an awesome journey reading. I loved reading chuck and Blair's personal growth and the development of their relationship as the story progressed.

While I'd love to see this story updated someday, I thank you for writing it. This has been one of my favorite stories in the fandom.

I do come back every 6 months to check if this has been updated. It's been 8 years but I'm still hopeful...

So looks like Chuck and Blair are dating now and Chuck just melted my heart this chapter. Looks like Chuck is exceeding Blair's expectations so far. I love the way Chuck is able to comfort Blair about the insecurities she has of their relationship. I love how Chuck called Blair his girlfriend so she wouldn't have to. I love how he's committed to making them work. I love the way you portray Carter. I wonder what's with his hostility towards Chuck and Blair's relationship? Is it jealousy? Is it partly thinking he's protecting Blair and Chuck from hurting each other? I wish the show explored Chuck/Nate/Carter dynamic more. I think his no care attitude towards Carter to be interesting. I think he does secretly want Carter and Nate's approval. But I think making things work with Blair is a higher priority top him. I'm curious why Carter is acting that way towards Chuck and not supporting him.

Loved this update. I think you handled the discussion between Blair,, Harold and Eleanor very well. It may be uncomfortable for Blair to talk about, but it's important for her to understand what happened and that it's not her fault. It may take awhile for Blair to be able to trust her father again, but I hope one day she'll understand that he loves her despite the change to their family. I'm glad Serena, Nate, Carter and Chuck visited Blair during new year's, probably brightened up her day. I'm glad they took the time to see her. Shows they really do care about her. I'm glad her and Chuck addressed the elephant in the room. That Chuck said he loved her and now we know he meant it. Send like Blair and Marcus have been drifting apart recently, Blair almost seems relieved to be ending things with Marcus. I'm glad that Chuck and Blair are growing closer though. Chuck admitting his feelings is a great first step. I loved Blair's optimism about how they now may have a chance at making it work now. Hopefully the new year will resign in a new era for than. I'm sure they'll have new hurdles to overcome.

I love the way you're addressing Blair's bulimia. I feel like it's something the show swept under the rug. And I think you're doing it in a way that is realistic and authentic. I think the show glossed over it after season 1. You know Chuck and Serena are concerned about her when they team up to help her. I for one, love that Chuck didn't back down. Anyone else could have, but not him. He just wants her to be okay. I think it's watching her fall apart that made him realize he does indeed love her. Something he's denied through the course of the story, but he's now realizing it and ready to say it out loud and to her. I for one think it's been a long time coming and it gives Blair an incentive to get the help she needs. I also feel like her romance with Marcus is starting to fizzle out. She just doesn't seem that committed to their relationship. Chuck seems to be able to get through to her than Marcus can. It seems she's not really into their relationship. I feel like it's the beginning of the end of Blair and Marcus. Could this mean Chuck and Blair could grow closer now that he's admitted how he feels? Looking forward to reading more.

I actually understand where Blair comes from on the Marcus front. I think she's tried so hard to get Chuck to love get, and saw l eventually saw it as a lost cause she decided she needs to love on, she's also been a master at convincing herself she's happy, even if that's not necessarily the case. I appreciate the fact the Blair is actually trying to move on with Marcus, someone who can make her smile, even if I don't think it'll last. It sends she's depending more on Chuck than she is Marcus and I think the reason is clear. She still loves Chuck and she can only took from that for do long I do wonder how Chuck will respond to her admission. Will he run away from it like he usually does, it will he finally accept how he feels about her and admit those feelings this time around? I loved seeing Chuck being supportive of Blair and try to help her understand, that despite the circumstances, her father died indeed love her. I think because she idolizes her father, she has a hard time accepting he's not perfect. They belief has been shaken. I think Chuck understands Harold's love for her despite the circumstances. Something he's longed for with his own father. Looking forward to what comes next.

I loved that Chuck called Blair on her birthday. I think it shows Chuck still deeply cares about Blair, despite the way things ended between them. I also love that he stopped his trip, hoped on the first plane and came to see her when she feels her life is falling apart. He's there for her when she needs him the most. I'm thinking this is what will bring them into each other's orbit again. I also love how observant Serena is on Chuck's feelings. She may not ever like him, but she knows how he feels about Blair. I love how you contrasted Nate and Serena to Chuck and Blair and how she knows Chuck loved her and still does, even if it's not the way she wants him to. I love the fact she tried to assure Blair Chuck loved her, and used her relationship with Nate as an example.

I love how you addressed Harold's sexuality here and that Blair wasn't as forgiving to him as in the show. I do think it's something the show doesn't properly address. I think it was something that was a lot harder on Blair than the show made it seem. I just hope in the end she can still have a relationship with her father, even if it's ways down the road. They need to rebuild that trust again. It's not something that is easy to let go of. I look forward to reading more chapters.

My heart breaks for Chuck. He desperately feels like no one loves him, that he can't fathom loving anyone in return. He desperately wants to love Blair and tell her he does, he just doesn't believe he's the one who can offer her anything or love in return. I think this was Chuck's way of letting her go and live her own life without him being a part of it anymore. This is his way of telling Blair he understands she wants to move on with her life, move on with Marcus. I can see them becoming a couple now and even convincing herself she loves him after the whole Chuck left in her heart. I wonder what's going to bring Chuck back into her orbit and how it'll define their relationship in part two of this fic. What a way to close part one. I just hope on part two Chuck will finally be able to accept Blair loved him and accept and admit he loves Blair in turn. That's awhiles away I think though, but I think the payoff will love rewarding when he finally does get to that stage. In the meantime, I hope Marcus can make her smile.

The more Chapters of this story I read, the more I love this story. I'm also digging this Marcus story, even though I wasn't his biggest fan in Canon. I love the feeling of jealousy he inspires in Chuck. I wonder if it'll get Chuck to eventually realize and admit to Blair how he feels down the road. I can't see it happening yet. Though I do see his jealousy towards Marcus growing even more intense. I love that Blair can bring those feelings out in him and she ones how to utilize that to her advantage. Chuck isn't even trying to hide the fact he wants her anymore, but unless Chuck is ready to admit to Blair how he feels, that won't be enough for her. I also hope she'll stay strong and not get sucked in by Chuck or start anything with him unless he is ready to admit how he feels and really commit to them. Knowing Chuck that'll be awhile. Chuck has to earn Blair's trust.

I feel so bad for Serena and Nate right now. I wonder what Serena did to push Nate away. So much so, he can't seem to even be in the same room with her. I do hope eventually she'll be able to salvage their relationship. I love how loyal Blair is to her best friend. Even risking seeing Chuck again, just to help Serena fix things with Nate. Looking forward to the next chapter.
