If Dasey's awkward breakfast made even more awkward by Frances's question proved anything, it's that Dasey need to talk. Then immediately kiss again. No more pretending.
Beautiful writing combined with your great Dasey moments make an amazing read. I'm addicted, can't wait to see if they talk about the kisses/makeout!

Derek not knowing if he could ever let Casey go after kissing her brought my warm and fuzzy feels back along with butterflies.
"Fuck,"...Derek said exactly what I was thinking when the cops walked in on their kiss.

Dasey thinking that funny, cute moment (and all their others)as their Great Mistake made me hurt for them.

I loved how the blinking Christmas lights and Casey wearing Derek's clothes came back in to play in this chapter. It made me totally forget their uncomfortablly silent car ride they shared earlier. The scene you painted with Casey falling asleep on Derek and him tracing circles on her skin with his fingers made me feel all warm and fuzzy but Derek's sudden shift in to jerk mode felt exactly like it did to Casey, like being hit with a bucket of cold water.

I had to fan myself while reading this, also I'm pretty sure I'm going to blush the next time someone offers me peanut butter ;)

Ha, Frances has no filter, first her way too personal question and then saying she'd ship Dasey after finding out they were steps, lol, no filter. The imagery you have going on in previous chapters with the Christmas lights and the time flashing repeatedly was flawless. Dasey's banter feels true to their characters and the build up to their kiss was paced out perfectly. Derek made my heart flutter every single time he touched Casey. I just want more. Please. Great job.

I was chuckling while reading the different scenarios that Frances was imagining that created the awkwardness between Dasey. Loved her surprise when Casey finally told her it was because the had made out. She was expecting a much different answer.
The awkwardness was funny but I'm nervous that Casey is regretting their kiss. 2009, Wow! I love that you came back, this is a really good Dasey story, too good to leave unfinished. I hope you feel inspired to come back soon.

Love the Dasey bickering and how easily they brush it off when they see the couple through the window kissing under the mistletoe. I think they were both wishing it was them.

I'm surprised and at the same time I'm not that Dasey's first kiss happened at a party when they had been drinking. Surprised because there were a lot of moments where they we're alone flirting and/or touching where a kiss seemed about to happen. But not surprised because parties and alcohol lower inhibitions. I'm also surprised it was Casey who initiated it when most times it's been Derek initiating the touches. I love that he can't seem to be close to her without touching her in ime way. I would love to know what gave Casey the push, was it the alcohol? I was so disappointed that the police chose that moment to crash the party.
I love the last line.

I was surprised when Derek called Casey out on being scared, they both seemed to be trying to ignore the elephant in the room. It feels like Derek is starting to accept his feelings aren't going anywhere but Casey still seems scared of hers.

Who could resist sharing peanut butter and germs with Derek after that. You nailed Dasey's chemistry and that last line is exactly how I felt reading it.

Poor Dasey, the confusion over their kiss had Frances imagining something (ewww)entirly different had taken place. I'm so worried that Casey is going to want to ignore their make-out and I have no idea how Derek's going to react. Can't they just kiss and make up already.
I love how in character Dasey feel, their chemistry is on fire and your build up has been perfect. Can't wait for more.

Even Dasey arguments are cute, poor Nora though, that's one voicemail she might want to delete before listening to.

Gotta love those drinking truth games. I kept expecting drunk Mickey to interupt their kiss but was surprised it was the police instead. It took them so long to get to this moment and it was interrupted way too soon. Hopefully the force won't let them run from their feelings.
