this may be the best brooke/julian o/s i've ever read!

This was truly amazing! As always I absolutely loved it! I love the way you capture their love for one another, it literally just melts my hearts! I am so thrilled that you wrote a one shot on their differences in the way Brooke and Julian love, it is definitely an original piece of work, just one of your many masterpieces as far as I am concerned!

Only Brooke would wonder about if the way she loves Julian is enough. I can really see her questioning that since she has this annoying habit of wondering if she will ever be enough, especially when it comes to love.

I loved how he was able to make her melt with just a whispered I love you! Goodness knows those words whispered by him would make ME melt! I am relieved that he is able to overcome her insecurities without even realizing the battle she is waging inside. Or maybe he does, since he KNOWS her! :)

I loved how you focused on the fact that despite Brooke's outgoing personality, she really isn't good with expressing herself emotionally, not when it really counts. With her background and lack of emotional support and love growing up that makes total sense that she might run into some problems on that front, even if she has the most remarkable guy on the planet to inspire her! LOL

I for one love the way she loves him though! Brooke may not be good with words and that is more than okay because I because I believe that actions often speak louder than words. Unfortunately in this day words, especially the phrase "I love you", has lost meaning and can often be abused. As long as she gives him the words when it counts and shows him how much he matters to her on a daily basis, which clearly she does with every smile and caress she gives to him she shouldn't doubt her ability to love him. In those moments of doubt she needs to remember that he understands her and he wouldn't change her in any way. Of course being Brooke Davis she wants to give everyone what she thinks they deserves and be the best she can be for those she loves. That is a quality about her to admire and be frustrated with. LOL

I loved her remembering about Julian's mother becoming having a heart attack and her trying to comfort him yet feeling totally inadequate to give him what he needed because she didn't have the words to express herself. I think her response was perfection and I bet he did too! I sometimes think she puts too much pressure on herself but I get why she does that since she is completely head over heels in love with him!

LOL at Brooke and Julian fighting just because and over something as ridiculous as the fact that she wasn't entertained by the script he was reading. I also LOL Julian accusing her of being so shallow she can only appreciate "Twilight". That really made me chuckle! Edward IS pretty great! LOL But nowhere near Julian's level, imo! ;)

I loved that Julian knows exactly what her kiss on the cheek meant the next day after their fight. It just proves how much he GETS her even though she thinks he thinks her kiss meant avoiding a confrontation. I loved how he thinks her ways are just adorable! I LOVE how he knows she loves him more than he ever thought he could be LOVED! That line had the potential to be heart breaking if it weren't so beautiful! LOL I love that she loves him beyond his every expectation. If only she could realize that!

Another scene that really touched me in this story was that fact that even though Brooke and Lucas are marked with the same tattoo Julian is engraved in her heart! Does it get any lovelier than that? I really don't think so, not for me anyway. LOL

I loved how even though her friends joke about the past with her in front of him, she always goes out of her way to let him know that he is the one she loves! *SIGH*

I really liked his reflection on how he views their love as being simple and effortless, a routine that he enjoys reliving every day!

I thought the comparison of Julian to Lucas and the way they differ with the use of their words was brilliant and so d mn accurate! Lucas really was good with words but he did lack the follow through! You said it best...*Julian Baker's words, like the way he speaks, has meaning and is used solely to express his love for the stunning brunette in question.* This is what makes me believe that Julian is the only guy for Brooke and it makes me love him that much more!

I loved the use of WE in the reference of household chores and it being their house! That just made me so happy! LOL I really do love his view on how this simple gesture is a requirement of a relationship and their growing foundation.

I also loved the mention of how Julian loves her HIS way! I personally loved the way he loves her, in case you didn't know that. LOL It really caught my attention when Julian thought about how he knows how much she loves him, he understands her world and yet she still shies away from his. I can totally see that even if I never picked up on that before. This is a great observation!

I think my favorite part, and it really is difficult for me to pick a favorite given the immense talent and incredible content of your writing, but my absolute favorite part was...*Brooke Davis thought that Julian Baker was invincible. There was a moment in time when she thought that there was nothing he couldn't do. Anyone who could wait so patiently and tenderly chipped away at her walls, piece by piece was a pretty epic person. Brooke sees her boyfriend as epic, but she would never ever say so, it's not her language to speak.* This was breathtaking summation of how powerful her love for him really is, how REAL and it makes me happy and want to cry at the same time! You have such a gift with words and breaking down what Brooke and Julian mean to one another! While part of me would love to see Brooke express her thoughts to Julian it is enough to know that she feels this way and he knows it even without her words! :)

I adore how Brooke took on Paul putting aside her insecurities with the ability to express herself with words and try for the sake of the man she loves to reach out to his father in the hopes of giving Julian the gift of his father's love! That was so sweet! It is wonderful that she wants to protect him as much as he does her and give him strength the way he gives to her. She is his champion and I love her even more for that! There is no way Brooke and Julian could ever lose when they have one another in their corner. Their love for one another truly is a force to be reckoned with! I also love how Brooke wouldn't want to be happy unless Julian was!

I am glad that Julian felt like an a$$ for being annoyed with Brooke about speaking with Paul! I don't care if he felt like she wouldn't see him as a protector anymore, her heart was in the right place and she only did it for him. Guys and their stupid pride! LOL But I had to forgive him when he tried to convey what he was feeling to Brooke. I loved that he trusts her enough to let her see his tears and his hurt so clearly. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED what she said to him to reassure him of how much she loves him!

The image of them lying in bed together at 3am just cuddling is such a lovely one to hold on to! I wish we could get one like this on our screens! ;)

I loved the way you worked the title in at the end! You always have a clever way of doing that and I always look forward to seeing how you do it! You make it seem so simple and yet you do it so eloquently, picking pivotal moments in the story to emphasize your point!

I loved your summation of how their love languages may differ but it is what draws them together in the end! I agree they truly do fit one another so nicely, so much so, I can't imagine them with anyone else. They really do love fiercely, so much so that it makes looking for love in the real world extremely difficult! LOL Theirs is a love I am envious of and you don't see that much in RL, imo, and that is very unfortunate! :(

I adored the conclusion that Brooke finally came to, it is not how she loves him but the fact that she does love him in every conceivable way! Who can ask for more than that? It makes both of them equally blessed! I am extremely blessed for being able to read such magnificent writing!

I know I promised to try to come up with some constructive criticism, the only thing I can say is does this really have to end? LOL I am sorry, I really tried but that is the best I came up with! Seriously how can I criticize perfection? I loved it, sorry for all the "loves/loved" btw but no other word really fits! :) You really are an inspiration! Thank you for being inspired to write this incredible one shot! I hope you will write again soon! MORE SOON PLEASE!

that was great. I honestly don't like fics without conversation and interaction but the way you do it, it feels like they are talking to each other all the time.

I just read the five languages of love so I see where you are coming from (regardless if you read the book or not) and it is great and amazing how you write it.

I'd love a multi-chapter eventually because your talent surely asks for a full development of a history, yours are in fact the only one-shot I read but they are worthy to be read.

wow. i love your one shots. this one certainly didnt disappoint.

i really enjoyed the way you described brooke and how she expresses love. how her insecurities hinder her and how her shortcomings in speaking her feelings make her insecure.

i really wish they would explore the brooek on the show the way you did here.

omg, you really just gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. the simplicity with which you write these two and how honest your portrayal of them is just makes me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy. They're beautiful together and i loved where you discuss the differences in the way they love each other, it seems so obvious, but it's not. i notice all the intricacies that you mention in your one shots all the time, but this one particularly stands out to me because it shows just how deeply invested you are in your characters and how you show so honestly their flaws and perfections. I loved how you italicized certain phrases for emphasis and how you described their inner thoughts. trully beautiful. you have a knack for characterization and you must continue sharing it with us.
