Audacious enough to go through a powerful rival in order to get the man she wants. You've been channeling Joss Whedon and have't realized it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, pick up the collected editions of Astonishing X-Men 1-6 in trad paperback. Anyway, it is a shame that you haven't done anything with this in a while. Perhaps you should just label it abandoned.

I hate Sam right now. Love the way you've written it though. She is Sam without the laugh track because, let's face it, some of the stuff she does on the show would not be cool if done in real life. So, her choosing to instigate Freddie being bullied...that's a pretty sucky thing to do and at this point I want him to run off into the sunset with Wendy and tell Sam to take a hike.

But you've written this so well. I could feel his desperation and his determination as well. I can see that what Sam is doing comes from a place of hurt and insecurity.

I'm watching a new group of minions attempting to saddle a horse...

I'm pretty sure I'll be feeding the majority of this bunch to Ethel over the next few minutes. Lucy is restless, it's time to move on... it's time to head west, west to the sea, to the frontier, to the 'new'...

But then I notice the dust rising in the east. So does Lucy, she snorts, trumpets and crushes a few minions standing nearby. Ethel roars her thanks and gets to work cleaning up the mess. This dust though... I haven't seen the dust rise like this since, since...

Climbing up Lucy's trunk, I pull out the brass periscope for a better look... Oh. My. God...

I smile, I chuckle... oh yeah.

Noticing a Cavalry Captain, I shout at him to wake the troops, break camp and prepare to ride north east. He complains about conflicting orders issued by me just a while ago, something about heading west... I give him to the dust bunnies while a Lieutenant with a faster grasp rouses the camp...

He updates! And the crowd goes wild! Poor Freddie has to deal with a back draft. And it looks like Sam and Reuben aren't the only ones in the middle of a conspiracy. Looing forward to seeing who else is involved.

By the way, completly agree with you on the Seddie arc. Other than the surprise kiss, it was quite possible the dullest way to get them together. Well I could go one but this is supposed to be about singing you praises and not trashing Dan. So consider your praises sung! Keep updating!
