This. This is spectacular. Really reads like it's a missing scene from Truth or Consequences. I think you've really captures what would have to have happened for McGee to focus on Tony when they got back to the bull pen, rather than Ziva and Abby. I think we tend to take the relationship between Tony and McGee for granted sometimes, that we take the depth of their friendship for granted. While Tony is looking at Ziva, McGee is looking at Tony, and this scene that you've painted just beautifully explicates why.
