I was thinking... what if all of those kids(including those despicable girls and the other boys, not just the three who had picked on Ed) caught Ed on a better day, when he was walking normally and not using crutches and instead of blowing up on them, he uses Alchemy and martial arts and states that they had no idea what he'd been through. Really, if all you do is judge someone like Ed without knowing the details, you'll probably feel a world of guilt if you found out anything. I can just imagine him now. "So you think I'm nothing but a worthless cripple. And yet you've never experienced the agony of losing limbs, of being impaled, or kidnapped. You've never been tortured or beaten or sent to the hospital for severe injuries. And yet you think you're better than me?"

Fluffy but believable fluff! Too cute

Man, I was really wishing this story was longer than 2 chapter's. The idea, while used by lots of people, was well written by you. The character's were spot on. :D Good job! Loved this very much

It's really hard for an author to make you feel emotionally like you're in the world he/she describes, and the setting it self is rarely depicted with amazing detail but not a monologue on it. This touching fic did both and I think this is one of the best Fics out there.

The only word that comes to mind for this is "sweet". I am always a fan of the Parental!RoyEd scenario, and to me, this encapsulated it to utter perfection. I have to admit, I thought in the second chapter Roy would relay some information about being raised by his Aunt, but I was surprised at the direction this turn. Not a bad one, but unexpected. The emotions felt real, and it was lovely to read.
