While I love mergana romance, I would like it better if they were married first. Uther makes Merlin a Freeman. Why not Marriage?

oh, good. in the prologue for the third part, i was so afraid that the story would end up there. battlefields and betrayal and arthur's death. i'm okay with morgana dreaming it far into the future... i'm okay with morgana doing something stupid and impetuous but well-intentioned, maybe, and with arthur taking maybe unnecessary offense. and i feel sorry for merlin caught in the middle, and of course he would choose arthur - but i think even this is better than what he had in-series, a few days and one kiss with freya. that's what fanfic is for, right? give the boy some more love! ;D

merlin's restraint of his power and magic. i love it, i know morgana doesn't get it. such an important part of him, though...

i laugh at morgana's little dilemma. merlin notices her, but would never think to take her. even to ask, even to realize /she/ was asking... :D

i like this morgana trying to emulate merlin's more noble feelings - even toward uther. and, i totally love (almost i forgive him... wait, let's not go that far) uther, making this generous gesture to merlin. i've always thought, that followed naturally - merlin taking gaius' place doing magic and medicine and being arthur's counselor (one day when he's king and knows about merlin's magic)...
okay, but... to love merlin for now, being definitely denied marriage... idk.

and i love this bit at the end, morgana panicking over merlin's perceived injury - and then slapping the poor innocent boy! ;)

highly interesting, that the dragon would show morgana merlin's magic, he'd been so adamantly against her knowing... even the proof that she loved merlin doesn't mean her destiny is averted... i like it, but i think it might be ooc for kilgarrah...
but i like morgana recognizing merlin's strength and courage, being honest enough to question whether she could do that...
i loved this conversation. kilgarrah being so brutally honest with her, about what she's like, about what he's like - and merlin is not like either of them, which is a good thing. but then, admitting that the future is in flux...
i kind of love that morgana has a love letter from merlin, even though he wrote it in joke... :D

that's a really interesting, and a really good insight. that kilgarrah had basically pointed merlin at arthur to act as his conscience as well as his protector... 'tell a man like merlin to protect, and he'd do it to his dying breath...' :)
i love this chapter, actually. morgana glimpsing what kind of king arthur could be, gives her reason to hope despite her personal difficulties with magic under uther. and i love arthur and morgana teasing but without the sharp edge, just to cheer each other up. i like anyone pointing out to arthur how unusual merlin is...
i think, uther might be a whole lot easier on a man who saved his daughter's virtue, more so than her life, actually.
and yay! i love morgana getting arthur to help her in her quest! (i'm hoping that's what's going to happen...)
