My favourite part of this story is Ty Lee and Sokka's relationship. I especially like the scene in Chapter 24 where she confesses her role in Iroh and Hakoda's deaths before Sokka kisses her for being loyal to him and Hakoda's dying wish and "just being you". Having him propose to her was fitting. I'm usually indifferent to Sokka but Ty Lee's one of my favourite characters in the TV series and my favourite in this story.

Mai's too restrained to have let "I miss Lord Iroh" slip out. Ty Lee's the one who should have said that.

It’s amazing that you managed to complete this even if it took you 9 years. I really admire your dedication. Thank you for sharing this story. I thought I saw hints of you planning to kill off Ty Lee but I’m glad we got a happy ending for everyone. Yay!

It may have taken nearly a decade to finish, but it was worth it to see this wonderful fanfiction reach its climax. The Lion King is my favourite non-Disney Princess film and it combined perfectly with Avatar: the Last Airbender.
In regards to your announcement of retiring from Disney/Avatar adaptations, I understand completely - when I first read this fiction, I was very much in love with Avatar but nearly ten years later I've pretty much moved on to other things. I'm going to be honest and say that I only came to the Avatar: the Last Airbender section on to see the end of this fanfiction. Now the past is truly in the past.

This is a truly awesome final chapter of "The Lion King: Avatar Style!" Everyone has earned their happy ending, even Zuko. It's all truly emotional and satisfying.
