This is truly wonderful, one of the very best Hetalia-fics I have read.

I really like how you described their relationship, partly in a chronological way, and partly in a retrospective way (in some sence. There's a lot to read between the lines, and parts of this reveals truths about their former realtionship). (Arthur's response to Alfreds first letter moved me to tears. The way it fits the historic events, and all that lingers beneath, unsaid- er, unwritten... It really got to me.)

The second chapter was really sweet, without getting too fluffy. (No caveties! Honestyl, how you managed to balance it out... Brilliant, simply brilliant.) Alfreds letter and Arthur's translation really put a smile on my face.

I'd love to keep writing, but it's 03.22 here now... (I really didn't realize it was /that/ late...) Keep up your amazing work~!

I love this story! The terrorist bombings in both countries made me feel sad though, since I had relatives that were close to the 9/11 area. I loved how England reacted when he heard about the tragedy in America. Go Iggy!

Oh wow, this was a really great story! You put just the right amount of humour to soften the blow of the depressing scenes. Way to ruin the mood, Alfred. Hahaha. And some of the interaction between them was quite touching. I'm definitely adding this to my favourites!

And the song is Crooked Teeth by Death Cab for Cutie, right? I love that song. By the description, I thought it might be that song, but the "cute when you're slurring your speech" line in the second chapter confirmed it )

I really enjoyed this fic. It was nice to read something that actually takes the war seriously while still being about America and England. Its actually kinda funny how serious fics of WWII are hard to come across.
