I have mixed feelings about the fights in this story, since they tend to deviate a great deal from the game's rules (friendly fire, combination attacks, etc). However, I understand why that'd be the case, since following the game's rules to the letter (especially against later bosses, who have no weaknesses) would devolve into an endurance contest, which isn't interesting to write about.

On the other hand, I unreservedly like how the investigation team doesn't always make the optimal moves. Players know that when an enemy is invincible, they usually have to wait for some story based deus-ex-machina to save them or do something unexpected (ex. MGS switching controller spot, or Undertale resetting the game), since they know it's a video game. But the kids don't know this and keep trying to attack and end up taking far more attrition than needed. Same with the Nihil hand, since most players will guard when they see such an obviously telegraphed move, but here they needed to be told by Rise in order to avoid dying.

Oh my goodness... I almost sh!t myself when I saw that this was just updated. I didn't join this fanfiction until quite a while ago and already this is my all-time favorite. Please tell me you are going to do Persona 5 Split Personalities; I am going insane just thinking about what you'll do. Also, I wanted to say that this fanfiction was what inspired me to make my own; Persona: One Last Promise. It follows a year after the events of Persona 5, but still holds many of the canon. I have one problem, though; Izanagi retained his original form in Persona 4 and Persona 4 Arena. I know this is miniscule, and I have no arguments with your decisions, but maybe it's something to pique the interest of if you are doing Persona 5
