Wow i think i read this pretty late but its been a while i read something good like this about ash and misty. Feels like one kind of tribute actually...

Wow, this was the best thing I've read in a while! I loved the language. It was how I think a lot of us like to imagine an older Misty. Razor-sharp wit with words of fury bubbling just underneath the surface, waiting for the chance to slash Ash Ketchum down the middle. He had a good balance in this piece too. One part idiot, one part kind moron, one part quasi-adult. I wish we'd had a reason for why Pikachu wasn't there-as even an adult Ash isn't complete without Pikachu-but that's a pretty minor qualm.

Anyway, looks like Misty's denial has come back to life, bigger and badder than ever. Sounds about right. But either way, she and Ash were such good friends, it's hard for me to believe that she wouldn't want to spend hours catching up with him. I know she's pissed because of his lack of contact, but still.

Again, really loved the language of this one. It was so spirited. I can tell I'm gonna read this one again and again.

Good job it sounds like something that would happen once they got older really nice.

I remember reading this so many years ago, and I was so upset when I couldn't remember the name. Then I just happened to look through Farla's little community group thing and searched for good romance rated T and I read the summary and I clicked on the story and I was practically screaming "HELL YES I HAVE FOUND IT!"

So yes, I'm pretty darn late to the party, but I'm here now, and I'm going to tell you how much of an amazing story this was. You kept me interested in every word single word, and I didn't even feel like skipping past any of the (absolutely fantastic) description, because it was just that good and wonderfully-written. I loved the characterisations, they felt so in-character even after all those years, which is honestly incredible and extremely difficult for a fanfic writer, so you should feel really proud of yourself for that. I just kind of punched my fist in the air when Misty finally snapped, and you know what, I love how she couldn't help but forgive him. And the way you wrapped up the whole story was perfect, linking it back to that joke at the beginning.

Yeah, okay, I love everything, including Ash and his idiocy and naïveté and all that jazz. This is how I imagine their first reunion to play out. Seriously, well done. I cannot find an adequate word in the thesaurus or dictionary that can possibly summarise in one word just how great this is. In fact, I don't even think this needs to be continued—I think it's ended in the best way, and we can simply imagine what will happen from now on to these two awesome little guys.

Has there ever been a time when you couldn't write? Because I feel like you came out of the womb with pencil and paper and a whole set of glorious words.

Yes, thank-YOU for tackling this. I cannot imagine Ash's first duo of friends to forgive him so easily for replacing them like they were a dime a dozen. (Maybe Brock but even then.) For never visiting even once. Or calling/writing. But of course the show would say otherwise if they ever did rendezvous.

The humor and slight angst were perfectly melded together. You portrayed Misty's passive aggressiveness in a very humorous but realistic way. And then how you characterized Ash's obliviousness and forever innocent mind, juxtaposed with some surprisingly adult habits - all of that through Misty's eyes - just as it did to Misty, it's hard to be angry at someone who isn't even aware of what exactly they're doing, never mind that they aren't even doing it intentionally to hurt.

And then the joke... How you started it and then pleasantly brought it back at the end there. Magnificence!
