*SNIFF* So... BEAUTIFUL! *SOB!* I can totally imagine that happening! They need to go back and make that a deleted scene or something! It was kind of sad, too, him arguing with himself about his past life, even without past-him really being there... And I laughed when he said that he "Had better be ginger!" They really need to make this scene! I feel like spam-mailing Moffat now with this as a script... If only...

Of course the Eleventh Doctor doesn't love Rose! That goes without saying. His love for us, for the little human people, is fleeting. He always CARES, of course. He'll always love his companions, but when he falls IN love with one... how long does it last? Not long, usually. Jo faded, and Sarah faded, and Rose faded, and it's pretty safe to assume that good ol' Grace faded as well.

It's only the love of a Time Lady, built to last through millennia and regeneration after regeneration, that lingers. It's only Romana who lasts, who sits in his hearts and waits.

Wait, how did my review of your (extremely clever) story get sidetracked into YET ANOTHER one of my soliloquies praising Romana and elevating her to the status she so rightly deserves? Sorry. I'm the biggest Romana fangirl IN THE WHONIVERSE and I tend to drag her into places she has no business being, simply because I want to see more of her...

Point is, I adore your story, and Matt Smith FTW. It's like seeing Tom Baker again, but with less interesting choice in neckwear. :)

Wow, I love this, really cleverly done! A genius way to have them argue and a good, deeper reason for the show to shrug off all the recurring characters it's gathered over the last five years... And yes, I laughed at Stephen Fry's little mention XD

This story is exactly why I've been avoiding 10 dyings fics. It depresses me that the doctor is leaving all these friends behind. Friends that in the end became the closest thing the doctor would ever have to family T_T

But reminding me of that simply means you did a FANTASTIC job. And you captured 10 perfectly.

It was brilliant, but it made me kind of sad. It's totally going to happen, too. He'll forget all about how his old companions were basically his family, and he'll forget how much he loved Rose.

Great job, though. I'm sure, from the previews I've seen, "new starts" defines Eleven perfectly.
