I've been reading this collection of fanfic since I was about 11 years old and I can't tell you how much this story influenced me (when I got pregnant with my first son, I even called him Bug!). I suddenly remembered the story yesterday and went all the way back to The Cruelty and Fairness of fate and read straight though until this chapter. I was so surprised to see this sequel and I love it so far. I do hope you continue this story. It's the best fanfic I've ever read and I sincerely mean that.

So good to see this updated! I wasn't sure if I reviewed it before, but I really enjoyed the chapter. I like that Setsuna is essentially Usagi's second mother. Love that! It is super sad for Setsuna though, the things she's had to give up to do her duty so to speak including Serenity and the family she created with her. I would like to see more flashbacks with that. Like always you write the characters really well. Hoping to see an update to this soon.

I suppose I should say "Welcome back" but I don't know if you'll be staying around. So, instead, I'll just say that this was a very nice surprise. To be honest, I truly did not expect this to ever be updated. It has been literal years, and I'd thought you probably had left this behind while being busy with life and other commitments. I'm glad to see I was wrong.

What I most liked about the "Fate" universe is that, not only is it one of the few well-written stories out there for this fandom, but there's also the fact that you expanded on the lives of the Senshi, giving a teasing hint about things that happened during the original Silver Millennium that were enough to pique the curiosity without ever revealing much. Just like the majority of the girls, we're left with almost static, and it's always a delight to get to discover something else that happened in their past. Of course, not all is happy, as Minako demonstrated with the memory of Aria, and as Setsuna shows often. I was surprised to find out that Usagi was her and Serenity's daughter, but it does make for a very good explanation as to where exactly Chibi-Usa obtained her red eyes from. Her former romance with Saturn, too, makes for rather complicated situations, as now that Hotaru is her daughter and beginning to remember things, I think they're in for an emotional minefield.

Perhaps the only thing I always had a qualm with was that this was written in the animeverse, which I always found to be inferior to the manga, but in itself that can't override the good writing (grammar-and-flow-wise) and storytelling. Besides, in spite of that, this series is my favorite in the Sailor Moon section, and I'd like to say, again, that I'm glad and it was a wonderful surprise to see the newest chapter of "Ghosts". I know this is not extensive, but I wanted to give some thoughts for the series, and to thank you for the new chapter. I hope you'll update again at some point.

Yes! An update! The Fate series has always been my favorite and I am so happy for this awesome long new chapter! I'm glad Setsuna finally got to speak her truth about being Usagi's mother, albeit to someone who didn't need to hear it - she may act like she doesn't want the past brought up but Setsuna with an emotional outlet is a happier Setsuna.

Yay an update! I'm glad to see you writing again after so long. I hade to go back and reread the Fate series in order to reacquaint myself with the finer details. And I'd love to tell you your series has captivated me unlike most. I'm looking forward to more post.

Yes! I was so excited when I saw this! I thought this chapter was awesome.

You definitely captured the extremely sad and downcast mood that accompanies funerals. The sadness and the way it quietly hangs over you and yet the reverence of the moment was something I really felt. I liked the touch and subtly with the grandmother as well, and the manner in which it worked out later on. It was really refreshing to actually see Luna and Artemis get in on the action a bit more. I feel like those two are just always on the sidelines somewhere. And I'm curious to see where the lead they got is going to go. There's definitely an air of trepidation and danger though with this new enemy. They've made things personal, and I've got the feeling that they'll pay for that when the time comes.

I loved the interaction between Minako and Setsuna, and it was especially interesting to hear Minako talk about what it was like for her remembering the past, as well as her difficulty in separating her past life and her present life. Their conversation definitely peaked my interest over what happened to Aria and who was responsible for it. I'm really intrigued over where that is going to go. And then of course Rei and Minako had some especially sweet and cute interaction when Rei told Minako she'd always have her there to help her. I also love their 'whisper sessions' lol. They're just so cute together.

The conversation between Setsuna and Ami's mom was extremely interesting. I like that there's a lingering connection to their past selves. It just makes so much sense that because they are reincarnations, their entire former selves on the genetic level wouldn't totally be erased but still part of them. I also love the huge reveal over Setsuna's connection to Usagi. It was definitely not something I saw coming in this manner, and it just fit in so seamlessly (but that's something I love about your writing to, so I'm not surprised lol). I'm also really curious if Setsuna's going to be opening up a bit more. She did reach out, but how far she'll actually go has yet to be seen.

Not a particularly happy chapter, mind, but that's to be expected considering; memorials for the dead are generally not the cheeriest subject matter.

I'm guessing that Kaya's colleague is going to cause all sorts of trouble somehow. Maybe by publishing his findings, maybe by threatening to go to the press, maybe by doing some amateur sleuthing to find the semi-human blood donors.
