Reviews for Rockman 2: Dreams of Madness
Guest chapter 8 . 10/10/2016
Why did you stop? This is great stuff, please continue it
A Fan chapter 8 . 9/2/2013
I was just wondering if this would ever be finished? I am incredibly entranced with this story, and would love to see where it i going.
Iron Lad chapter 7 . 6/7/2012
Nice. However, I actually don't like Hoffner at all. Seems like he's being built to get the axe soon. It feels Mary Sueish in a way. I don't know what purpose he will fulfill, but I can't say I like him or his interactions with Rock and Roll.

That's the only thing I didn't like.
Dr Facer chapter 1 . 5/27/2012
How come I didn't know you were writing a sequel to your novelization of the first game? And it seems you've been writing it for quite a while!

Damn, time to fix this situation by starting reading this!
VirusesX chapter 8 . 5/22/2012
This story is just amazing. Started reading two months ago, and is incredible what you did to Rockman, Light, Roll, Wily, and all the other characters.

Love the way you put mistery in this fic.

I hope the next chapter isn't far from us.

Congratulations from Brazil
BlackRussian chapter 8 . 5/22/2012
Your work is inspirational and I've always admired how you remastered the Rockman series so cleverly into this dark, yet very 'Rockman-ish' (for lack of better word) world, with complex characters and mature storytelling. I always get happy and nostalgic when I see updates on this, and am excited for more.
HarunaRei chapter 8 . 5/21/2012
I actually squeaked a bit when I saw this was updated. That should sum up my opinion of the story overall, though one point I had to wonder about was whether Rock and Roll would have been allowed into the courtroom while proceedings were going on, but at the same time, it's a rather different political climate, many would have recognized that as potential sabotage opportunity, and more would have been hesitant to deny a pair or irate robots the right to speak to their creator. Lord knows I'd have ducked my head and let them pass.

I look forward to your next update, whenever that may be.
Guest chapter 8 . 5/20/2012
Thank you so much for continuing this story. I am quite anxious to fins out what happens next. As it is you are balancing quite a few characters and I cannot wait until you get to the new robot masters. That's all I am saying for now to prevent any potential spoilers. If they ever make a megaman movie I hope they come see you about it first!
Lavanya Six chapter 7 . 2/22/2011
This fic is so awesome. I'm looking forward to the next update.
Jiven chapter 7 . 1/16/2011
My god, such a good story. Your exploration of the Three Laws and your cultural knowledge made me shivering. Bring it on boy ! I will stick with you !

If I don't make any mistake, so far we have seen Wood Man, Air Man and Flash Man. Oh god, Flash Man is so badass ! I don't look forwad to their "official" confontration.

Well, see you later.
Erico chapter 7 . 10/16/2010
One of the things I love best in this is how Light and Wily view each other. In spite of everything he did, Light can't bring himself to fully denounce his friend. Three decades of shared suffering and triumph is hard to break. I did something right with GRL, or maybe you did something right in the Robot War that inspired me in GRL...

Ah, cycles. Where does one's influence over the other begin or end? Why does it matter, when the stories tumble out so clear and seamless as to be adored, kept alive, and treasured?

Near the end of GRL, I remember a line that I had Wily say.

"Be old, then. Sleep. I'll do the rest."

I look now at the defining line of this chapter and realize that that quote from GRL must have struck you in the heart. All the humor and inference that Rock brings pales in comparison to Wily's one dramatic statement, spoken so true.

"Don't worry about the trial, Tom. Don't worry about the bureaucrats. Don't worry about the future. I've got it handled. I'll SAVE you."

-

That's the dividing line of him. Around Rock, the madness takes hold. But around Light, a man he calls friend even now in the last months of 2070 and the beginning of 2071, some shred of the man he once was is there. A part of Wily, the man and not his insanity, still exists. Trapped inside his mind, struggling to even speak correctly, he pours all his efforts into a plan.

Oh, he wants revenge on the world, surely. A world that cast him down, cast THEM down, time and time again. A world that almost obliterated itself, and is Hellbent on repeating that egregious mistake. Yet some element of nobility remains.

For the sake of his friend, the man known as Albert William Wily is going to sacrifice himself completely and become the villain. The world refused saviors, and so a tyrant must come.

How true Vinkus' words echo, 3 odd years after the Second Rainbow collapsed. And Wily is right about one thing.

As the murderer of Dran Grevis in 2052, he, more than anyone else, knows the resolve it takes to pull the trigger.

It is a strength that Light never had. Both are to be commended.

Wily is to be mourned.

And you, as always, are to be praised as one of the best. The Legacy of Metal wouldn't be possible without you.

"From The Sidelines" will be receiving an update this weekend, Maelgrim. You might enjoy it; it's a piece from Magus.

As Oliver Xanthos knows better than most...

Always keep your eyes open and your path moving ahead.

WhiteFangofWhoa chapter 7 . 10/13/2010
"No fair, I'm frozen in the air."

"Time's on my side, no time to spare."

Nice introduction for Flash and Air, plus a cameo by Tengu Man. It's nice that you have more related stories from other authors to reference than last time. Really creates a sense of a greater universe of continuity, though I doubt that 'Gearbreaker' would be very effective against the real thing. Maria Eve is quickly working out to be the 'Umbridge' of this story, making Cossack her pawn in a move that may be the start of Sennet's bankruptcy. But even she pales in comparison to the real chessmaster here...
Silver Warrior chapter 7 . 10/12/2010
Wily is certainly off his rocker, isn't he?
Kayin Sparkle Dreemurr chapter 7 . 10/11/2010
Man...read everything...And I have to say...

I LOVE the way your taking things! _ This is awesome to say the least. I love how Roll is changing, I love how your portraying cossack, and I really like how you brought Tengu Man into this.

Oh...And your portrayal of Proto as "The Broken Man" :P Well played. Well played indeed.

Can't wait to read more about Break Man and the everything else. Robot Rebellion #2, coming up _
SaintHeartwing chapter 7 . 10/11/2010
"You're also sort of a jerk". Now that line deserves to be in the "1-Liners Hall of Fame". I also caught the subtle "Rock as Robocop" bit...good touch.

What I truly enjoyed though, were the talks between Wily and Dr. Light. Looking back on all that's happened, I can understand Wily's worry that humanity might have "impaled itself upon it's own sword", but I think the appropriate response to anything he had to give was "NOBODY ASKED FOR YOUR HELP". Especially not if the "help" is more like euthanasia!
